18. Too many people know what Heathrow looks like
So the "problem" is in announcing that the Chimp is landing at a public airport like some ersatz man of the people rather than a heavily guarded military base. People who know what Heathrow looks like won't be fooled by live footage, and CNN will look like the shills they are.

Hey, aren't the cops raiding Neverland?

11. That's odd. Last week I heard a news report about concerns
of a terrorist attack at Heathrow. You know, the usual "chatter" shit. It's hard to tell when that's just political fear-mongering and when it's an honest assessment.

Maybe he's trying to look brave by standing up to the terrorist threat he manufactured. :P

17. Heathrow?
:: Free light show at Heathrow Posted by Manic on 18/11/2003 at 18:13 GMT
The itinerary has him arriving at Heathrow. This updated report says he's actually landing at RAF Northolt. Now we get this:

"I thought you would be interested to know that there are some never before seen search lights scanning the sky in the area where I live - near Molesey/Esher in Surrey, not too far from Heathrow. The time now is 5.45PM and I've been seeing them for an hour at least."

And so it begins....

The US president, George Bush, today boarded Air Force One to fly to London for the most heavily-policed state visit in British history.
Mr Bush will arrive at RAF Northolt, in Middlesex, this evening. He will travel to Buckingham Palace by helicopter, where a private welcome from the Prince of Wales begins a four-day itinerary taking in meetings with the prime minister and the main party leaders, and a banquet with the Queen.
