The guy's address is posted there, so folks can send him letters of encouragement. Now, I am confident that DUers wouldn't send him anything inappropriate, but I wouldn't put it past the Freepers to send him a "Stop whining" letter.

Besides, there are plenty of other letters like this(and news reports) which confirm 3ID's frustration. I just thought this letter provided proper perspective into the situation.

I hope this guy gets home soon...

The only reason I'm not posting a link is out of respect for this guy, as some of his personal info is out there, and I don't think it's appropriate.

The other posters at this forum(the football one, not DU) are making this political enough in this poor guy's thread, so I don't need to be driving EITHER side (especially lurking Freepers) over there.

especially AFTER Hussiens' sons(?) were killed. I just take alot of stuff on the web with a grain of salt, and maybe I should have kept that to myself. But, the way it's worded I seems like all hell could break lose any day now. And for the life of me, I don't understand how Bush Inc. thinks it can keep a lid on that.

All the military types who think that wars are just something you slip-on, like a flag, need to wake up to the idea that war planners do NOT have the people of the military in mind.

He HATES bush. This is exactly the tone of the letters he sends.

Democrats need to demand that American troops be replaced by UN troops. It is the right thing to do and it would help politically with many independents and the military and military supporters vote. It also would be hilarious to hear Bush try to explain why this is not a good idea. He might hurt himself. Both physically and politically.

The UN doesn't have an army, they just take command of the armies of other nations. My guess is you'd still have US troops over there, they'd just be wearing blue UN helmts.

I just looked over this soldier's post again. The Digital Division, is actually 4ID. He's only been there since the end of April!!!

Guess that makes it TWO divisions that are frustrated...
