Hannity show-proclaimed soldier says only 32 U.S. soldiers killed in Iraq
Edited on Tue Nov-18-03 06:18 PM by demdem
Proclaimed soldier says only 32 U.S. soldiers out of 140 thousand killed in Iraq war. Hell there were 20 just over the weekend. Also says Reservists are whiners and they are the ones whining to the cameras about how bad things are in Iraq. Hannity says nothing to correct him. Something tells me he wasnt a soldier, and the fact that Hannity allowed him to call fellow fighting Americans whiners says a lot about Hannity. One last thing Hannity upset because his so called bombshell democratic memo that he claimed was going to rock Washington was a dud.

1. Still too many.
No one should have died over that at all.

9. Still, that's "in harm's way" death. They wouldna died had they
not been in Iraq in the first place.

11. There have been WAY more than 32 killed in combat
Edited on Tue Nov-18-03 06:52 PM by RationalRose
but I get the feeling you agree with Hannity's statement anyway...

http://www.antiwar.com/ewens/casualties.html

Dates Total In Combat
Deaths since 5/01/03 (the list) 283 179
Deaths since war began 422 292
Total Wounded
2336
Source: DOD , CentCom and Lunaville

On edit: the far right figured are the deaths in combat

4. multiply that number by ten...
and we'd be getting somewhere. I hate when the right tries to dodge unpleasant questions about Bush's Oilwar by bringing up statistics comparing Iraq deaths to inner city crime, etc. What a cop-out!

8. The one I loved was comparing it to D-Day.
"more soldiers were dying per hour on D-Day".

Sanctimonious pricks! HOW DARE THEY!

D-Day wasn't a policing action, or even a "low intensity conflict"! It was a full scale fucking invasion of a fortified coastline! AND PEOPLE LET THEM GET AWAY WITH SAYING THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

:grr:Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:grr:

14. Teeeepical...
During the Clinton era, a nutcase could say anything they wanted to on RW Radio and the host wouldn't correct them as long as it was Anti-Clinton. Now it's the opposite - callers can anything as long as it is "pro" administration even thought it could be completely untrue.
