Early verdict on the photos
So mangled and shot up there's no way to definitively confirm their authenicity. Much as I could stomach to look at them, which wasn't long, it COULD be them, but it's not certain. If this was a PR attempt for Iraq and the Muslim world, they failed miserably.

1. Photos look like beaten and tortured men.
It might be the sons but it looks to me like those pictures were not taken a few hours within death.
Looks more like prisoners who have been beaten and then shot. But when did this happen?

2. I don't think anyone here...
...could really confirm their authenticity anyway. We all basically know Uday and Qusay from television.

3. I think it's them
Actually, from the shape of their faces it was rather easy to tell. Qusay has a rather round face and Uday a more narrow one.

Shave off the beards, I bet any Iraqi will be able to tell.

But I'd put my money on this being legit.

6. Its them
I do think it is them, but my opinion doesn't matter. That is up to the Iraqi people to decide.

7. Just out of curiousity
What is it you see that convinces you with such confidence? Not to say it isn't them, or even question the circumstances around the photos, but why would you say that it is? Is there anything in the photos that you find conclusively convincing? The faces are bearded, the eyes are closed, the photos are dark and poorly focused...What exactly clinches it?

In addition, what has the present administration, starting from day 1 ever done or said that was legitimate - that you would now trust their latest publicity blitz (timed to obscure growing disatisfaction with the whole Iraq drama?)?
