Brian Lamb went through this much trouble to knock down a comment made by a caller? We are regularly treated to all manner of Clinton haters calling in with the most outrageous accusation against the Clintons and Democrats and Lamb et al just let them put their lies on the record with little or no challenge. But when someone calls in to cast aspersions on the intelligence of King George, C-Span jumps through hoops to refute it?

i saw him go absolutely ballistic on a clinton hater. he wailed on a pubbie about the clinton body count. it was wonderful to behold even if i'm not a big fan of BC.

he was lying in wait for the next time someone called with the "clinton's a murderer" stuff. he had obviously been gathering info and just DUMPED on the pubbie. it was also obvious that he REALLY enjoyed doing it. i just think he gets tired of the bullshit.

he may be a pubbie but i respect him for what he has done for this country. how would we ever know what really happens in the house and senate without his groundbreaking idea.

Usually the hosts just tell the callers that misinformation will be refuted by other callers, but Lamb went to great lengths to debunk the Bush IQ story. It wasn't brought out that Democrat-bashing emails far outnumber those bashing Republicans. It also wasn't brought out that the Bush IQ story was fairly obviously meant as a joke when read carefully. Mikkelson gave Bush's respectable SAT score as proof of his intelligence, but I doubt if he came by that honestly. How do we know he didn't get his SAT score the same way he got his "honorable discharge" from the National Guard?
