Everyone used animal-drawn artillery (usually horse-drawn, but I'd imagine mule-drawn was also employed) before the truck was invented. And it still has its uses, as you can see.

I say give 'em three weeks and they'll find the tank destroyers.

I mean here are two beefy US soldiers scanning the permiter and behind them, a sad little donkey that pulled a rickety cart full of missiles into the middle of the US stronghold in Baghdad.

This is positively surreal.
