Energy bill dead for the rest of the year
according to this:

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/news/archive/2003/11/24/national2120EST0789.DTL

the energy bill is toast until next year. amazingly, corruption helped in this case, as delay will just NOT remove that MTBE shield, and there's no chance of it ever passing with that still in there. thankfully, a minor victory for the country and the environment, for now.

1. PRAISE THE LORD!!!
Honestly, while everyone else was praying that the Medicare Bill would not pass, I was working hard on getting this one stopped in its tracks. When I found out my senators were swing voters, I called them every hour and wrote to them billions of times. Good thing they got the message.

2. That's great news... I still have hope that the Meidcare bill will
go down in defeat.

4. I hope that is true.
I found out from moveon.org today that my Dem Senator Dayton voted for it (i.e. against the filibuster). He's gonna hear from me tomorrow... :(
