Via The Memory Hole:

I haven't looked this over yet, but I intend to do so this afternoon. If there's anything worth pointing out, please do so! :)

1. I have read it and it's excellent.
(Though remember that they are trying to be objective.)It's also available here: http://www.epic.org/privacy/voting/crsreport.pdf

2. Good analysis
and hits all the main points. I do think it is as objective as is possible. The 40 pages are a might long, but this is a story with so many facits, I fail to see how they could shorten it.
I sent out e-mail to all 88 Boards of Elections in my state (Ohio) with a link to this and suggesting it would be a good idea to read it. I am beginning to believe that the majority of local election directors in America are very ignorant of voting machines and are just parroting whatever the vendors tell them. We need to demand that they begin educating themselves if they are going to serve the voter.
Good job for all Duers.....find your local elections board e-mail address and start sending them links, stories, etc.

3. Right on Shirlden
Our state auditors don't even know about the DOJ ruling on voter-verified paper ballot machines- that they COMPLY with the HAVA and the Disabled act IF the machines review the ballot back via another means- audio, in this case. Which they do.

Seems our Secretary of State neglected to inform them of that and one of our auditors got caught in front of an audience telling people that these machines disenfranchise the disabled.

I believe a lot of the SOS are not on the square with information to the county officials.

Here's where to find the DOJ ruling on that, send it along with the CRS report.

I love that the CRS report told the truth-what you see on the screen is only a REPRESENTATION of the vote. Not an actual ballot, folks.
