Moore's "Fahrenheit 911" to be released Election Day 2004!
... Republicans gearing up to petition Miramax and theaters to scrap movie...

"The senior Bush kept his ties with the bin Laden family up until two months
after Sept. 11...It (the new project) certainly does deal with the Bush and bin Laden ties, it asks a number of questions that I don't have the answers to yet, but which I intend to find out".

A portion of the doco will deal with the business relationship between former president George Bush and the late Saudi construction magnate Mohammed bin Laden (Osama's father). However overall the main thrust of the film will be examining what has happened to the United States since the Sept. 11 terrorist attack.

The film's french distributors Wild Bunch (outputing through Miramax in the US) are trying to target a world premiere at Cannes but in regards to it's official release, its date will probably be November, 2004... election day!

Patriotic Americans Boycotting Anti-American Hollywood (www.PABAAH.com ) and ConservativePetitions.com have joined efforts to protest the development and release of "Fahrenheit911", the latest film project directed by controversial director Michael Moore. It is our intention to petition Miramax studios to terminate their relationship with this project or face a possible boycott. Theatre chains will also be petitioned in order to make them aware of the anti-American nature of this film.

People, we need to counter-organize. We need to promise to fill up theaters for this movies and threaten boycotts of our own should they cower to the GOP.

3. Yes, Miramax already doing wingers a favor
with this release date. However, I doubt the vrwc can convince Miramax to drop this. Moore makes too much money for them.

5. I'd take this with a grain or two of salt....
Movies are generally released only on Wednesdays and Fridays--election day's on a Tuesday. Is there a better source for this information for confirmation?

8. Pardon me... misread the article... it will PROBABLY be election day...
...not set in stone.

As for alternate sources for the story, it quoted a UPI story but the link didn't work for me.

10. Well at least we have "Osama is a Bush" at globalfreepress.com
It covers the same stuff maybe even with more guts. I have to wait and see how fare Moore is willing to go with his film.

Osama is a Bush should be seen by as many people as possible between now and Election Day.

11. We really should be threatening Miramax with a boycott over this!
And they WILL back down! Their movies are too small to survive any boycotts! Let's start writing them now!
