Does talk radio listen to Liberals?

KPFA and the Pacifica network is the only community sponsored radio network that I know of in this country. It has been in buisness for over 50 years. I listen religiously. The 6:00 news is a must PST.

This is what REAL media is all about. They only have 5 major stations SF, NY,NY, Fresno, and whatever the other two are........ They are doing something right because right after 9/11 the 'board' attempted to shut them down and stuck them with millions of dollars in lawyers fees (in the attempt to sell them off to the highest bidder.

NYC, LA, WDC, Houston, and Berkeley are the 5 stations. There was no threat after 9-11-01. The threat (and it was a major nightmare, a terrible situation, followed by one of the most important victories of the 20th century) was during the Clinton administration, by Clinton appointees and affiliates, who tried so very hard to destroy the network. This recent history should be an important, mandatory lesson to everyone who pretends to be interested in politics and media.

Pissed off moderates, who want to hear the other side again. Don't discount the silent majority. Most of them are genuinely nice people who have been surrounded by a fog of Orwellian half-sense and nonsense for awhile now.

a local visionary had organized a number of us to call in to these whack job right wing hosts and respond to their lies and tirades with on the air resistance. Its painful, filthy work, but TREMENDOUSLY effective on their own turf and dime. When you hear mainstream whacko radio hosts calling FOR another 9-11 attack ON America, to further support for the liar and thief, it is unbelievable the depths they will sink, and the honest message behind statements like that!
