Libertarian Hopeful meets with Grocery Strikers

Libertarian hopeful visits Grover Beach
Candidate meets with grocery strikers

GROVER BEACH - Libertarian candidates have won some state Assembly races since the party's birth in 1971, but no high-profile offices.

Even so, during a campaign stop in Grover Beach on Monday afternoon, Gary Nolan said those statistics aren't going to get in the way of his bid for the White House.

"Look at Jesse Ventura -- anything can happen," Nolan said, referring to the former independent governor of Minnesota. "We just have to keep plugging away and see what happens."

Nolan, a 49-year-old Cleveland native and a former radio talk show host, is one of at least three Libertarians running for president. Michael Badnarik and Dave Hollist are also vying for their party's nomination. The Libertarian convention will be held in Atlanta during the Memorial Day weekend.

Nolan and the strikers

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

All I gotta say is what the hell is he thinking. If anything, he is on the side of management.

However, I give him credit for actually meeting with the strikers. At least he has the guts to meet with them instead of Pres. Bush, who won't meet with any dissenters, whether they are pro-peace or pro-union.

By the way, tell your libertarian friends to support him instead of Bush. Here is his website:

Gary Nolan for President

However, he has to make it past the primaries first.
