Corporate Pirates: U.S. to seize ships on the high seas
It was in the news some time ago - and it's in the news again!
http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/12/02/irankorea.us/

This raises some prickly questions. First, is there any doubt that the U.S. will actually be boarding foreign ships? Does anyone believe the U.S. will only board ships based on solid evidence? And is there any doubt that such actions will infuriate foreign governments and increase anti-U.S. feelings around the world?

Here's a really scary scenario: The U.S. boards a ship, claims it finds weapons of mass destruction or material that can be used to manufacture WMD's - then it impounds the ship and ships the crew off to Guantanamo.

On another note, will other nations consider seizing U.S. ships that are carrying weapons of mass destruction - including all our aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines?

1. one of the causes of the War of 1812 - British stopped US ships
and took off sailors they claimed were British citizens.

Bushco sure has a major loss of memory about all aspects of US history.

4. You mean like that "idle talk and bluster" bomb used on the USS Cole...
...by people that don't even have a Navy?
