Edited on Tue Dec-02-03 05:43 PM by sgr2
That makes a total of $175.00 thus far for Clark.

Previously I'd given $60 to Edwards and $50 to Dean. I'll reserve the right to give to them at a future date if their luck (in my mind) changes.

Anyways, I'm a pragmatist. In a perfect world I would be basing my pick on all of the issues, and a candidate who broke from one of my positions wouldn't get my support. Fortunately for Clark, there aren't too many of those and I see him as the best chance to beat Bush. I like the other candidates, but I'm going with my gut feeling on this one.

BTW, if you're going to give to Clark at www.americansforclark.com then please type in sgr2@uakron.edu as your recruiter... I'll get a nifty email thanking me for whatever I did!

hehe.... peace out!

3. Most spend it all..... but....
It is legal to carry it over to another Federal campaign. For example, Kucinich could carry it over to a US Senate run. Dean could transfer the money if he didn't win but was selected VP.

Some reimburse and ask their contributors to give to an endorsed candidate.

Really, it varies. You can't just give it to someone else though.... at least not more than 5000 per election.

4. So far, I'm in for
$295.00. If it weren't for Christmas and my trip to New Hampshire this weekend, I would give more right now. Maybe after all the gifts are bought and the trip is finished, I will be able to give more.

5. I contributed $50 last week...
I had previously attended one of Dr. Dean's fundraisers in Houston and given him a hundy.

Likewise, I consider Gen. Clark a stronger candidate, but will support the guy (sorry, Amb. Moseley-Braun) who comes out on top.

Went to Clark's Meetup last night and will attend Dean's tomorrow.

6. I'm gonna give to Clark again today also...I believe in Clark
This is the first time that I've given to any campaign EVER! I'm a life long Democrat and I've never been moved to participate until my dad introduced me to General Clark...(not in person but in conversation).

Clark made me feel like we have hope in beating Bush & Co. Before, I didn't think we had a chance. If Clark doesn't get the nomination...and some times I don't think the country Deserves to have him as a President...at least he's brought people like me into the game who wouldn't have participated.

8. Inspired Me
To contribute another $50. I have given Clark $350 thus far.

I have also given to Edwards and Kerry and (gulp) Lieberman (but only because my office mates gave to my candidates when I asked so I had to do the same.

12. Eh?
Are you accusing me of giving money to the scumbag currently in the White House? That's what it sounds like.

Dear XXXXX,

Thank you very much for your generous contribution of $50.00 to the Clark for President campaign. Your financial support will help Wes Clark spread his vision for New American Patriotism across the country and get our nation back on track.

We need a change in leadership in America. With your continued support, Wes Clark will help to revitalize our economy and make our nation safer and stronger by defeating George W. Bush next November.

If you haven't already, I encourage you to sign up as a Clark Recruiter (http://recruiters.clark04.com/) so you can encourage your friends, family, and associates to contribute to the Clark campaign while being recognized for your efforts.

Again, thank you for your contribution to Clark for President. We appreciate your generosity and support.

Sincerely,
Eli Segal
Chairman
Clark for President, Inc

Seriously I've never given a dime to any candidate and I've donated to The General three times because I'm absolutely convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that this guy has what it takes to annihilate G-Dumb.
