I was watching, while ranting about this at another forum.

this was part of the Dean vs. big media deal that he started today.

I was talking about that here:

said some candidate should make media concentration a huge issue, cause it's something that might rally a large group of people

it was weird, almost deja-vu-ish, as I hadn't heard any news of Dean doing that til I saw the show, an hour later.

Also, am not a Dean supporter at this point....undecided.....but decidedly ABBABB, whoever gets the nod

12. It was already a huge issue
Vis a vis the recent FCC merger being overruled by Congress -- both Dems AND Repubs, because millions of both Dems AND Repubs wrote and said they wanted LESS consolidation of media.

I really think people are PISSED about this, just like you said.

hundreds and hundreds of thousands of responses to FCC's lousy ruling, running at like 95% against their venal merger ruling

Didn't congress settle on 39% coverage, vs. 35/45, cause Bush said he'd veto it? and what happened with that? did it get through as a rider on another piece of leg, or is it still sitting in committee somewhere? I know if it was passed, it hasn't been vetoed, cause congress is SO in the pocket of dumbo's stringpullers that he hasn't had to veto ANYthing yet......barely had to even threaten.
