BBV: the most important people in Congress
Black Box Voting : the most important people in Congress
From
http://www.verifiedvoting.com/fair_elections.asp

For the issue of black box voting to get a vote on the floor of the House or Senate, these people need to be convinced to act.

"If you see your Representative on this list of House Administration Committee members, then we really need your help.
Committee on House Administration

Republican Committee Members
Rep. Robert W. Ney, Chairman (OH)
Rep. John T. Doolittle (CA)
Rep. Vernon J. Ehlers (MI)
Rep. John Linder (GA)
Rep. John L. Mica (FL)
Rep. Thomas M. Reynolds (NY)

Democratic Committee Members
Rep. John B. Larson, Ranking Member (CT)
Rep. Juanita Millender-McDonald (CA)
Rep. Robert Brady (PA)

Now, here's more you can do. Contact your Senators . especially Republicans, and tell them you believe that the passage of HR 2239 is urgent. Ask them to introduce or cosponsor a companion bill to HR 2239.

It is especially important to get support from members of the Senate Rules and Administration Committee, especially Republicans, since that committee would handle the bill.

Senate Rules and Administration Committee

Republican Committee Members
Trent Lott, Chairman (MS)
Ted Stevens (AK)
Mitch McConnell (KY)
Thad Cochran (MS)
Don Nickles (OK)
Kay Bailey Hutchison (TX)
Bill Frist (TN)
Gordon Smith (OR)
C. Saxby Chambliss (GA)

Democratic Committee Members
Chris Dodd, Ranking Member (CT)
Robert C. Byrd (WV)
Daniel K. Inouye (HI)
Dianne Feinstein (CA)
Charles E. Schumer (NY)

2. Exactly.
Ol' Saxby got elected on one of those flawed machines. He'd never co-sponsor such a bill.

3. Of the Republican Senators on that commitee, I think
Of the Republican Senators on that commitee, I think Key Bailey Hutchison of Texas might be the one BBV activists have the best chance of convincing.

4. I also wouldn't count out Gordon Smith
I think that, as a senator from a Democratic state, he and Kay Bailey Hutchison would be our best bets.
