2. Thanks! Trumad....
.... good and noteworthy catch. TPM is always right on target. Your post and the information is appreciated. As, indeed, is information always appreciatied in a free, open, and courteous dialogue.

Contrarian, self-serving, and meaningless challenges notwithstanding.

4. Democrats in the know
Have factored another Green run (I bet that there will be a Green candidate AND Nader ). If Kucinich or Sharpton don't rep the Dems, why should Nader not run and represent those issues? If we change the leadership of the country, but don't change the direction of the country, then we have failed.
Bush is bad, no doubt. But I would love an anti war, pro criminal justice reform candidate. In my Dem blue state of NY, why should I vote for the drug war or the death penalty?

5. Never enough Nader Hater threads, IMO
"Villainy, wrapped up in mendacity, with a little bow of hypocrisy on top -- always a delightful package ..."

So you think he'll claim there's no difference between bush* & Dean, or bush* & Clark et.al?

8. There is no difference btw Bush and Dean/Kerry/Clark!
And Dean is NOT a progressive. How much is he saying he increased social spending in Vermont over the time he was there? 14%?

Look at what Clinton said about Dean:
"Clinton told the Associated Press that though Dean is perceived as a liberal, people should "look at what he did as governor of Vermont," a reference to Dean's 11-year track record as a moderate Democrat willing to stand up to the state's powerful left against demands for increased social spending. "

Now you go on now and just tell me that Clinton was some kind of progressive. Just go on and tell me that...and I will tell you now that if Clinton likes Dean, then I do NOT like Dean.....because Dean is NOT a progressive!

Nader has already said that if Kucinich does not get nominated in 04, then he will run in 04. Well, Nader gets my vote unless Kucinich is on the ticket....at least as VP.

6. why does Nader
continue with this? He has no chance in hell of winning in '04. He just likes to stir the pot. How arrogant of him to think he can just jump in the race and "change everything." I can't stand him.

what a load of horse manure.

"Nader is trying to make the Dem party half the party it thinks it is..."

He is an opportunist who likes to stir the pot. He knows he will never get elected as President, but he continues to try, with much to no avail.

7. Actually, I'd sort of like to see Nader in the Senate.
I have my problems with him, to be sure. Running for President.

But why not Nader in the United States Senate? He'd be a Senator in the way of Paul Wellstone. Nader has done a lot over the decades for the American consumer and working class.

I know this idea might be anathema to some. But I think Nader in the Senate might be worthwhile.
