2. What's he wearing?
I hope his hair is in pig-tails and he's licking a lollipop.

I'm not interested in what he has to say; I can turn on Faux if I wanted to hear garbage.

3. Is he deeply saddened?
Does he have his pink bunny suit on? His tutu and ballet slippers?

4. not a bad interview
I saw it last night. I'd seen him on Booknotes on C-span and god was he a bore. But I think it was because the interviewer focused on the inside Washington stuff that I have no interest in. Like about how Daschle feels like he's walking into a church when he walks into the Senate. Gag me!

But Rose was better, he didn't ask about Daschle's stupid book very much, if at all.

Daschle called Bush's political style "ruthless", Rose asked him for the worst example, and Daschle had to think for a second, there were so many examples. He settled on the Max Cleland character assassination, called it the most repulsive thing he's seen in Washington in a long time.

5. Why the Daschle bashing?
He's a good guy. Its not his fault the corporate media won't touch him with a ten foot pole. I saw him on the Daily Show last night and he was both funny and effective at getting out his message. Give the guy a break. Who could do a better job as Senate Minority Leader in times like these?

8. he said something very bad there, however
correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought he said the anthrax attack had a "happy ending." That's what I though he said, and I was appalled.

7. Maybe someone with a spine?
I've always considered Daschle and Gephardt the poster children for what is wrong with our party today. Too nice. Too flexible. Too compromising. And what has it gotten us? NOTHING! They have supported * on too many issues, giving this extremist administration the advantage in a critical election year.

11. Anyone see him on the Daily Show last night?
Stewart took him to task about the DOMA. Daschle was talking about the sanctity of a marriage between a man and a woman and Stewart responded with (paraphrasing VERY loosely): "What I can get my mind around is that a couple, a homosexual couple, can have a relationship for 45 years, build a stable enviornment, and yet if one is dying in the hospital--the other doesn't have the same rights as a spouse in a heterosexual marriage. I just can't wrap my mind around that." (Again, I paraphrased VERY loosely.) Dascle hemmed and hawed and said something about not supporting a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.

But what was amazing was that Stewart wouldn't let him GO with a pat answer. My point is: did Daschle just talk about his book on Charlie Rose or did they go into other issues as well?

It boggles my mind that a host of a "comedy"* talk show is a better interviewer than some of these other putzes.

(*it is hilarious but often more truthful at the same time than regular news)
