Dean/Bush Knew
What do you think people? Dean said he wants a real investigation. I think he thinks lihop or worse is possible and is telling us he will work to uncover the truth. Why is that a bad thing?

6. Some people in LBN were saying he would have to be stupid
To infer that Bush had something to hide re 9-11. You know, the usual crowd.

2. Bad?
It's great. The White House let 3000+ Americans die on 9/11/01. Let's get this thing investigated.

3. Good for Dean, and Clark, Graham
and anyone else who said it in public (did Kerry?). The fact that the Republicans got away with Bush's 911 makes me personally angrier than anything else.

5. Absolutely
No matter who gets the nomination, a speedy, complete and accurate accounting of the truth should be the next administration's priority. It would be a discrace if America operated under a dellusion like the Gulf of Tomkin caused, or if questions went unanswered for decades like with the Kennedy assasination.

7. Yes I think it is nice that Dean has come out strong on this one
It will be nice to have a president who won't stonewall the investigation. He could burry the pukes forever with this one.

14. What does that thread have to do with this?
You really are not that pathetic are you that you are going to degrade the importance of a 9-11 investigation with this candidate bashing are you?

The victims families deserve much better if that is the case.

8. I heard the Diane Rheame show <sp> when it aired...
...and was floored by that. He framed it right too. The stonewalling of this administration leaves a lot of room for conjecture and speculation, and the evidence that has been gathered to date certainly doesn't dispel these notions. We can't say with certainty what Bush knew or didn't know, but we can certainly say that he's not willing to share ANY information with even his own appointed commission to investigate (or fully fund it)...

12. Exactly, he does not have to accuse anyone just investigate.
I am very happy about this. I also think he might be using his records as leverage to pressure Bush for his records.

At least I hope that is what he is up to.

16. It is brilliant!!
Just think what will happen to Bush if 1/10th of the shit we've been discussing at DU these past couple of years starts being tossed around in a debate or talk show!!
It would be so easy to show how the Bush junta ignored important warnings, marginalized "the Man Who Knew", dug in his heels on investigating the Saudis, etc. It is a veritable gold mine of material to fling at Bush. Dean could take it point for point while Bush would have to defend his position.

Dean has a helluva alot of material to show Bush at best being utterly incompetent or worse: LIHOP or MIHOP.

I've been wondering why he hadn't done this sooner.
