My problem with the Bush/Clinton credit for AIDS thing....

Don't ask me why I listen to Rush. I do it to keep my debate up, most likely. It's always fun to argue with no one in the car while people beside you at stop lights look on with saddened eyes.

On Aids Awareness Day the spots that the organization ran featured Nelson Mandella and Bill Clinton. Sort of a tribute for doing what you do to fight aids, etc. etc. Rush's take is that it's ridiculous because DUBYA has done WAY more for aids than these guys. Pledged billions of dollars! How exciting! I love pledges. You know what else I love?

Faith Based Programs!!!!!!!

Here's my problem. Bush pledges billions to fight the aids epidemic. Meanwhile, since africa isn't exactly buzzing with cha-ching and investment opportunities, hospitals and clinics have MULTIPLE functions.

Hospitals, Dentists, Facialists, Make-up Specialists, etc.

At most of them, they perform abortions. Because of Faith Based Programs, the United States will not fund anything that associates with or performs abortions. You can't even talk about abortions. No funding from the US means close up shop. Hundreds of these places have closed.

Yeah! I "pledge" billions of dollars to you! First, though, I'm going to shut down your hospitals. Happy Holidays!

and just smiled as he once again tells us up is down and wrong is right. Rush cannot and will not get over Clinton. My question is why is this man still allowed to work given the facts that we know and to which he has admitted. How many people do you know who have admitted to an addiction to prescription drugs and are part of ongoing criminal investigation not on leave with or without pay? It is simply outrageous. Blowjobs are a greater offense than blow? Unbelieveable.
