Dean on PBS: BBV is a big concern!
Good segment on Dean tonight.....he fields a question from a concerned citizen about the integrity of the machines....he gets asked that question every day. He cite's the head of Diebold saying he's going to deliver the vote for Bush.....he will deal with it after the primaries.

Something tells me that Dean, et al, will make this a huge issue in 2004.

1. Yes
He and Kucinich both are jumping on this.

I, too, think this will be HUGE in the election.

Kudos to all the grassroots activists who have brought this to the forefront.

3. We insure the integrity of the vote..............
we will bury the RNC party.

They will go down as the financially wealthiest, most morally bankrupt Party that ever got destroyed in a national election.

14. One important thing to remember, this is a non-partisan issue.
Electronic voting affects EVERYONE, there are dems that have lost elections and there are republicans that have lost elections when they were projected to win.

If our right to have our votes represented as we cast them is corrupted, then there really is no reason to vote. We need more people to jump on the bandwagon, dems and repubs alike and get their legislators to stand up and co-sponsor HR2239. We need to have our votes printed on a voter verifiable paper ballot.

Head off to http://www.verifiedvoting.org and volunteer to join the ranks of others who are calling lawmakers and drumming up support for this very important bill.

10. He'd better
Otherwise, the only way he will get into the Whitehouse is if George W. Bush invites him over for dinner.

11. I was concerned
I saw that segment and I was concerned that he said several times that they didn't have all the information on BBV yet. (Not his exact words, but he indicated they needed to get up to speed).

So if any of the BBV people have the ear of anyone on his staff maybe they could provide whatever info is needed.

12. Thank Eloriel
Dr. Dean has read her comprehensive BBV piece and others on the subject. This is a growing concern that is getting mainstream coverage at LAST.

I guess I haven't had the best day... that was *really* funny to me.

I didn't think "misconstrued" was that hard to pronounce, but I guess it is...

18. This is why its great that Dennis is in the race!
He shapes the debate and brings issues to the table that might not be there otherwise!

We got Clark talking universal pre-school & cutting the defense budget.
Everyone talking BBV.
Everyone talking healthcare and Iraq.

Go go Dennis!

19. AFTER the primaries is too late
Will someone explain to Dean that the voting machine issue is NOT just a presidential vote issue?

It can be used to select the candidate (either side) you want to run against?

It can be used by a party to select the candidate of a certain faction's preference?
