The whores are at it again--hiding joblessness
You have to go to the business section of CNN to find this:

http://money.cnn.com/2003/12/04/news/economy/jobless/index.htm?cnn=yes

"Jobless claims rose in the United States last week, the government said Thursday, at a higher level than Wall Street forecasts, as the labor market continued its slow recovery from a long slump."

God dammit--joblessness is still recovery--just a slow one instead of a robust one. Whores. Whores. Whores. And it's not on their front page--that jobs are still very much a problem. It would ruin their goddamn storyline that the Lazy-ass coward-in-chief's tax cut has put the economy on the road to recover. When production goes up, that's all they can chirp about. Joblessness--you have to hunt to find that news.

5. Plus, you don't see them cawing about sales being up . . .
a sure sign they're not, even compared to last year, which was dismal. Apparently, low-end stores and high-end stores (Walmart and Neiman-Marcus types) are up from last year, but the middle-end stores (Targets, Macys) are all down--from last year!

1. I agree, but...
Target is up about 3-6% and I'll keep my eye open for links.

6. It's like a metaphor for our society-
the middle class is disappearing, and we're becoming polarized between the haves and the have-nots...a two-tiered society in the making- the aristocracy and the servant class.
