Can Dean win all the primaries on Feb 3rd?
Based on the latest polls, the Big Mo is with Dean. My prediction is Dean will win:

DC
Iowa
New Hampshire
Arizona
Delaware
Missouri
Oklahoma
South Carolina

The only one I am not sure about though is Missouri. On Feb 4th the Primaries will be over. Remember - you read it here first :)

1. Better watch out
this one'll get locked, too, as a dupe because it talks about Dean and primaries :eyes: I don't get it either.

But to answer your question, yes.

Missouri might be hard, and Oklahoma will be tough. But he can't certainly win them all that's for sure.

19. Oh please
It was locked b/c it was about SC, and there was already a very active thread about it, in which there was a good deal of discussion about both Dean and Clark. The mods probably thought it could be contained to one thread, that's all.

If you are trying to suggest that there's a moderator bias issue, you should pm Skinner and talk to him about it.

22. Ok then
If you DO get it, as you say, then why not just say why you think it was locked, if it's not a mod bias issue.

27. It is odd, isn't it?
Especially since Greens are allowed to attack Democrats and call our party "corrupt" without getting banned. Who's running this place anyway?

2. Dean will win Michigan
They are allowing online voting. Dean could have Iowa, NH and Michigan in the bag by the first week of Jan conceivably.

3. With that Middle Class Tax Issue....
You can take South Carolina out of your win column. Sorry, if Dean doesn't bend on that he meets his Gettysburg in S.C. and this time the North loses.

9. check out the most recent polls on dailkos.com
Dean's in striking distance, and a win in Iowa and New Hampshire could easily put him over the top.

18. Middle class MUST be defined..
Edited on Fri Dec-05-03 02:08 PM by SoCalDem
It varies from state to state and there MUST be a dollar amount attached to it.. There are people who think they are middle class, when they only earn $25,000 a year..

The problem too, is that lots of people LIVE like middle class, but they do it on credit..

The fuzzy terminology is where the "wiggleroom" is, and it's dangerous to use that kind of vague terminology..

In some parts of the country, you are RICH with a 50,000 income, in others, you are borderline poor..

Also a person who inherited a home , free and clear, and yet earns only 25,000 a year CAN live a middle class lifestyle..

Everything is relative, and the generalizations hurt everyone..

15.  Dean will most likely win three of them
NH, Del, and DC. Notice they're the three smallest. Clark will get SC and AZ. Gep will get IA and his home state. No idea yet on OK

23. The only way he would win Oklahoma is by default
If Lieberman, Edwards, Gephardt, and Clark split the " moderate" vote then Dean could win with 21%. However, a win doesn't mean that much delegate-wise. It's not winner take all.

If Edwards, Gephardt and Clark split the "moderate" vote. Where's Dean's 21% come from?

What latest polls are you talking about? The one where Dean leads in SC with a whopping 11% and several other candidates just a few points behind?

Yep, he's really pulling away from the pack :eyes:

I suggest you add this to your signature:

"Dewey Defeats Truman"

26. What's this mean?
85% of dems don't want Dean as their nominee? Than you have nothing to worry about right?

29. I think what he means is:
88% of dems hope Clark is not the nominee.
89% hope Lieberman is not the nominee.
91% hope Kerry is not the nominee.
94% hope Gephardt is not the nominee.

Get it?

33. exactly
i've posted this sort of sentiment before... when the clark/dean flamewars were going on, i was trying to calm it down by pointing out that 2/3 of the dems supported neither candidate - so people should stop with some of the rude noises.

We're very early in this campaign - posting a 'worry' or a 'i dont like so and so because' should be just as acceptable as 'listen to this' and 'so and so is great because' - so long as it's civil and serves the purpose of extending the discussion (these are discussion boards afterall). Its awful early to suggest anyone in this campaign is 'out' or 'in'... when we stop seeing 10% of the people choosing lieberman as their guy, and when we get a couple of horses out in front of the pack by more than the margin for error in the polls - then the bandwagon-noise has a place here. Until then, all this talk only serves to create an echo-chamber (and, honestly, i dont think it serves anyones chosen candidate well).

My point might have been phrased more diplomatically - so i'm sorry if the intent wasn't as obvious as it could have been.
