One question only, for the Washington Post: When will Charles Krauthammer be fired?

When will the Washington Post fire its dissembling columnist, Charles Krauthammer? And one other question obtains: What are the paper’s obligations to its misled readers?

THE POST’S LATEST LYING LIAR: Charles Krauthammer is deeply dishonest. In fact, the Washington Post should fire him, now. In a fire-breathing column in this morning’s Post, Krauthammer tells the world what a crackpot that Howard Dean is. To promote his point, Krauthammer presents a "transcript" from Monday night's Hardball--a "transcript" he has artfully doctored.

IS anybody at the Post EVER going to stop Charles Krauthammer from spreading his lies and slanderous BS. It's bad enough you continue to publish Novak after he illegally outed an undercover CIA employee, but doesn't the Post hold its right-wing writers to ANY standards, even in their opeds??

Here's mine:

I'm astonished. Simply astonished. Apparently we live in a political
climate wherepeople like Charles Krauthammer can absolutely BUTCHER
quotes from idealogical opponents without anyone standing in their way.
Look at Krauthammer's "version" of Howard Dean's MsNBC transcript versus
the official transcript from MSNBC. What Krauthammer does, while low
brow and extremely nefarious, is all too typical of his side of the
debate. Got no facts? Maniuplate the language so that what you do have
looks better.

How long can these lying liars get away with this before their editors
and the people call them on it? How is it that Krauthammer still has a
JOB? How did it become so that our society is even remotely tolerant of
these dirty tricks perpetrated by dirtier people with no good in their
hearts? To quote Bertrand Russell, "from men who are more anxious to
injure opponents than to benefit the world at large no great good is to
be expected." Since no good can be expected from Charles Krauthammer,
why do we still have to put up with his schlock?

8. Krauthammer likes to accuse people he doesn't agree with
of being "mentally ill" or "deranged." I remember him commenting on Faux News about one of Al Gore's recent speeches.

14. Former shrink?
Krauthammer is a former psychiatrist? I feel sorry for any of his patients...he is the most morose person I have ever seen on television. He seems to have a clenched frown all of the time. He would make a great movie villain. Unfortunately he is one of the commissars telling us how the world should be run. If he's a former shrink, he should probably pick up some of the books of one of Freud's students, Wilhelm Reich, and get rid of what Reich would have probably called serious armoring affecting his face and who knows what else.
