Totally Classic Line from Clark Campaign -- so funny
Edited on Sat Dec-06-03 02:48 AM by familydoctor
The Democratic campaign of retired Gen. Wesley Clark got off a double-barreled attack on both Bush and Kerry on Friday.

"President Bush took John Kerry's bad idea and made it worse," said Clark's communication director, Matt Bennett. "Baker will undoubtedly be bringing his special Florida `recount-style democracy' to the Middle East."

1. Clark is good with one-liners
I really liked his description of James Baker as "consiglieri."

Direct hit by Clark!

Just what the heck was Kerry thinking when he named Baker and Bush-1 as possible Middle East envoys?

4. good line
Wish Kerry hadn't said he might name Baker to anything. But saying he might and doing it are two different things. bush* did it. JK is still ok in my book.

9. Thanks!
That rocks!

Is this the point where Kerry fans and Clark fans leave Dean alone and go after each other for a while?

I hope so!

10. hehe!
I was wondering how long it would take for him to comment on that. I had a great laugh yesterday when my husband said..."Guess who Bush is sending to Iraq as his liaison?" me.."Who?"...hubby..."James Baker!" ME......hahahahahahaha! I knew the General would have something "totally classic" to say about that. Couldn't get a more perfect a statement than THAT one! Thanks for posting it!

13. Uh-oh, I wish he had not said that; Kerry is sinking on his own
Edited on Sat Dec-06-03 09:37 AM by Military Brat
Sad, but true. I prefer that Clark stay focused on bush**. He really didn't need to insult Kerry (no matter how deserved on this issue) to make his point.

I wish ill of none of the contenders, except maybe Holy Joe who isn't a real Democrat anyway. He just plays one in his mind.

Edited for clarity.
