1. Here's proof that rehab didn't work for him...
"It's everyone else's fault! I'm a victim! *Sniff sniff!*"

He'll be back on the hillbilly heroin by New Years... :eyes:

13. Yes
It's my understanding that if someone is committed to sobriety (from whatever addiction) they must accept full responsibility and not blame others. If you don't accept responsibility, how can you be sober?

2. Once again, I wish I could put the smiley in the subject.
:nopity:

Rumor has it that Rush's radio program is politically motivated.

Who cares if it's politically motivated? If he did it he did it.

Or wait, is he actually admitting that there's some room for discrimination in how the law is enforced then?

3. Limbaugh is screwed
in a now heavily red state, to have elected officials going after him indicates the evidence is substantial. That isn't to say he wouldn't be pardoned, but as it sits right now, there's a case.

8. Rush opened his own mouth and got them checking deeper
Rush said he was hooked on Prescription pain killers. So they raided his doctors offices to see just how many Prescriptions were actually written and if he was engaging in Doctor Shopping. That part would never have been investigated if he hadn't opened hios mouth and tried to sweep it under the rug with something he considered innoculous. I say keep on talking Rush. Enough rope is out there.

The repuke mantra, the "culture of victimization" and all that other bull. Cry me a river, Rush.

18. I think so too but...
sounds like he's on some kind of speed. He talks fast and is more devious then ever (sounds so much more evil). Article in PB Post this morning said he was seeking Rx's for cholesteral and blood pressure meds too. What's up with that???? Was that just a front?

14. Knew this was comming.............
When this story broke, the first thing that came to my mind was that Rush would state that "he" was of course a victim. Do any of you really think that it would be any other way?
Perhaps his treatment in this affair will set new standards for drug abusers, well, ok at least for rich, white, Republicans.

15. I agree. I heard Rush
on the radio, only for about 1 minute (I don't listen to him; I don't like the tone of his voice).

Of course, the minute that I listened consisted of his complaining (once again) that he's being treated harshly. He explained that the painkillers were for "long-term pain" "severe medical problems" "back injury".

Do I detect whining and sniveling? I'm almost positive he was crying about the pain he's been dealing with for the past few years.

This is definitely a no-no in rehab. Any treatment center worth its salt will never let him go on like this because it shifts the responsibility away from himself. Ya gotta take responsibility, Rush.

21. Only difference between Rush and every other busted narcotics junkie-
Rush gets daily airtime to plead his innocence. The fact that he can use his show to make his case publicly is quite disgusting.

But nothing this pompous clown, who is simply a paid Republican shill, surprises me. What does surprise is how any thinking person could take this blowhard seriously.

Prosecutors began investigating in December 2002 after Limbaugh's former maid, Wilma Cline, told them she sold Limbaugh "large quantities of hydrocodone, Oxycontin and other pharmaceutical drugs in Palm Beach County over the course of many years."

Cline provided investigators with e-mails and answering machine recordings to support her claims, according to the warrants, filed in Palm Beach County Circuit Court.

Gee Rush, now you know how Monica must have felt when she found out Linda Trip had betrayed her and taped their conversations for personal gain.

27. Poor guy, they're pickin' on his sorry ass.
Just goes to show you, the wealthy that he's been protecting, really are downtrodden victims under the thumb of people who want to rob them of their well paid for privelages.

Oh, the weeping and wailing of the doo-doo heads and freepers when he does the perpwalk with both of his hands tied behind his back along with the few drug addled cells of his brain.

Let's hope that his future audience in the jury box are truly ready to admire and impose his cry of "personal responsibility". To the tune of about 10 years.
