8. anything to distract from the real trouble over there
How many phony WMD stories have been planted now? Weren't they "found" in a few warehouses this past summer??

He will be paid handsomely for hi sdefection, and perhaps a commentary stint on MSNBC. Sometimes they trump Fox as the worst cheerleaders.

9. Is it the same INC defector who has already been discredited?
Most likely! If it is, he was also saying the WMD were hidden under the Tigris, I believe.

10. God, I remember watching Faux during the Iraq war ...
... and they would announce a new find almost every single day. NONE of them panned out of course ... NOT ONE. I must of seen 20-30 false reports. And at the time, I was PRAYING we would find them because I thought it would so adversely affect our standing in the world. GRRRRR!

:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+:+

That was a huge story when we found it... remember? Chimpy McPlasticTurkeyFlightSuit even told the Poles that we "found" the WMD's, didn't he?

Here's the Washington Post article, from May 31, 2003:

Bush: 'We Found' Banned Weapons - President Cites Trailers in Iraq as Proof

12. puh-leeze.....the media needs to get a grip on this story....
I'm sure there are all sorts of weapons in Iraq, some may even be considered WMD, but come on. We've been on the ground for over 6 months now.

"weapons, weapons, who's got the weapons..."

Buried out in the desert, with the boogeyman...

13. I love the reason he gave for why they didn't use them.
The didn't use the PRG WMD's, he said, because they knew they were going to lose. Like they would have used them if they thought they could have won. And what in the world would ever make them think they could have won unless they used WMDs. This has always been the most important fact. Whether they had them or not. They didn't use them. If a tree falls in the forest ... blah ... blah ... blah ...

15. which also points to Saddam being an incompetent...
at the end of the day. That was evident during Desert Storm and it certainly didn't change over the years. I think he was given way too much credit beyond being a basically shitty human being. He got away with crap when we let him and and when we didn't, he didn't.

The fact that he didn't have some modern WMD progam up and running shouldn't be that much of a suprise, really, should it? All things considered? At least, I never thought so.

21. One of Chalabi's boys who hasn't been in Iraq in years
ABC News on Friday night: David Kay is leaving Iraq for good, and the US is not going to send the WMD teams to back to Iraq. They threw in the towel and are no longer pretending.

BTW, not even the Pentagon gives any credence to this "defector."

22. The Threat launching the invasion wasn't just ANY WMD, it was Nuclear
weapons of mass destruction. Even if they come across chemical or biological weapons its not enough to justify what has happened in Iraq......The point they tried and were successful at driving homw was the imagined threat of nuclear terrorism and it was all a fraud.. Mustard Gas and Mold Spores did not warrant this invasion.
