lotsa pissed off vets calling in to CSPAN
"if you wanna support the troops you don't vote for somebody that's gonna send them off to die… should we start housefires to support our firemen?"

2. C-Span
The Republicans calling C-Span bashing unions and others don't sound very rational to me. They seem like they want to believe what they want to believe rather than what is reality.

3. Bout Time

I posted this before, but its worth mentioning again.

The NH vets called my mom last month asking for a donation. My NH mom lit into them and said she would no not donate because the vets keep supporting republicans who then do not support the vets.

The caller agreed and said the vets would be expressing their view on this in 2004 - at the ballot box.

10. the guys works for a conservative paper...they want to run against Dean
Edited on Sun Dec-07-03 08:51 AM by Cheswick
Normally I would say ignore them and just work for the candidate of your choice. But we must understand what is going on in the corporate whore media. They are promoting Dean for a reason. You can't get much more obvious proof than that Dean does poorly against Bush in polls.
I am not saying do not support him, I am just saying understand what is going on. Dean did rock the house, but that was because he had many very loud partisan supporters there. Yes he gave a good showing, but so did Clark. Why do you think the media keep ignoring Clark? They are afraid of him winning against Bush. That alone is not a reason to support Clark. My point is let us be smart, not blinded by our preference for a certain candidate.
At some point we are going to have to come together and many of us will be working our butts off to elect a candidate who was not our first choice. To be able to do that we have to stop this infighting and be smart. If it comes to the point where one candidate is surging and has the best chance to beat bush that candidate will need all our help. I hope at that time we have not become so hostile that we can't get the job done.
You are a partisan for your candidate, that is a good thing. Just don't fall for the media's games.

13. None of the Dems to date consistently beats * in the polls
so I don't think that any of the candidates and their supporters have a strong argument based on poll data to date.

There are too many variables between now and next November to be certain of anything.

We need to work for the candidates of choice and keep focusing on beating * and not on infighting.

7. Liberals to the Orlando Sentinel are probably just guest players.
I haven't really read any REAL liberal opinion pieces in the Orlando Sentinel staff in a long time. In fact, those that write liberal-like opinions are the worst of whores. One week pushing a conservative theme, the next pushing a democratic them. I think they suffer from multiple personality disorder.

9. I Swear This Guy Is On The RNC Payroll
I sure hope no one confuses this guy with a real journalist.

Kudos to C-Span for all the Florida coverage this weekend...it's great to see the large support the party has in such a crucial state. It's gotta be getting to the GOOP as all I hear and read have been the flag-waiving attacks on any Democrat dissent, such as this hack is spinning. The usual tactic of mimicing the attack or the attacker to defray from the issue is in full force here. This guy's had to been on a GOOP payroll at some time.

11. the tip-off about Slilva
When someone got through and mentioned Bush going AWOL, he retorted with the "Dean went skiing" observation. Clearly a Repubican tool.
