Could we do this to expose the RW hate machine?

DU would have to be the battleground for this idea.

The right-wing Bush-BJers love to claim that the left HATES W. The media does not come to the defense of the left very much, no matter how much Limbaugh and company claim.

So, what we would need is to have the Right exposed for the hate machine as it is.

This could be accomplished by posting copyrighted online articles and material IN THEIR ENTIRETY (including much of the stuff from freer---blic) here at DU.

This would, of course, cause the RW to either let it stay on this site, or they would have to acknowledge that this stuff of their making by trying to stop DU from breaking copyright laws.

Although costly and unlikely, it would be fun to have the RW smear machine show up and say "Yes, I did say to assassinate (fill in the blank), but that's beside the point. They are publishing our material without our permission!"

Ah, it's fun to dream.

We need to get clever.

When DeLay was pushing for all the Republican delegates to their national convention in NY stay of a luxery cruise ship I began thinking seriously how we could hijack the ship in the middle of the night and sail it out to sea.

I think some street theater in NY outside their convention portrying their policies (in a humorous vein) would get some counter publicity (maybe Al Franken could help write the skits). We need to be creative and find ways to force the media to pay attention to our side.
