What Kind Of Supreme Court Justice(s) Would Your Candidate Appoint?
Considering that it is very likely that at least one, possibly two or even three Justices could step down in the next 4 years, what kind of person would you want on the bench? Is that the kind of Justice your candidate would appoint?

Personally, I want someone that is totally qualified, but also considerably liberal. For the people backing centrist candidates, do you have concerns that qualities that might make for good campaigning might not seem so cool later on? When the anti-Bush fervor dies down into history's dustbin, what will your candidate evolve into once in the Oval Office?

I am positive that Kerry would appoint someone on par with the likes of a Thurgood Marshall. Does everyone else here share such conviction in their choice?

It seems that many people take the election as a personality contest and not a job interview (Chief Legislator, Chief Diplomat, Chief of State, Manager of the Economy, Commander-in-Chief, etc.).

Strip away the bells and whistles of the campaign, and I make no hesitation that Kerry would do the best job - including appointing Supreme Court Justices.

PS - Of course I'm hinting at gun control (among other things)!

2. I'm not so sure Clinton would want that nomination.
Clinton likes to be out with the people! Just don't think he would seek such a position IMHO.

4. Hopefully no black or white folks
Maybe some judges of Hispanic, Filipino, Native American and other nationalities.

It's about time the court got more diverse.
