GOP Attack Ad: When Angry Democrats Attack
Check out the new Ad. They are really pushing this "Angry Democrats" thing. Do they realize that in politics Anger is not necessarily a bad thing?

1. They have nothing else....we should give a
clip of those "angry" protesters in Miami beating down the doors of the vote counters....

There's all kinds of smart ways to counteract that rubbish.

2. Wow

I just noticed on the two second Dean clip notice how they distort the screen into monochromatic out of focus frames.

8. yeah
they seriously distort Dean. I'm going to do a little work on this video to see if they doctored the audio, which it sounds like they did.

5. great ad
I love the Dean "Thank you very very much!" That's hot. The ad is hilarious, and bound to backfire.

15. Laff-riot
The backfire potential is great. With nearly all criticism of the present marginalized by the corporate media, this ad delivers valuable soundbite after soundbite to people starved for anti-Bush messages. It just could inspire some Democratic votes.

And that's ironic, given the ad's clear intention of speaking to happily comatose SUV-driving suburban Christians (not coincidentally, the first clip is Dean on a tear about fundamentalism). Look at the blood-curlding house: it's Suppositoryville, USA, where nothing has gone wrong under Bush, nobody's unemployed, nobody's dying in Iraq, God's in his heaven and the tax cut is subsidizing a rash of lavish consumer spending. Why be pessimistic here? Why be angry? To these viewers, the Democrats look like spoilsports...

9. Wounded bull routine.
:nopity:

Basically it's like this:

1. Do a bunch of things to piss someone off.
2. Let them get angry about it.
3. Act like they're so mean for getting angry.

11. And you know what else...
Of course George W. Bush* doesn't act angry.

He has other people do it for him.

10. In contemporary politics - as in 2004 - anger's a NECESSITY.
Anyone who's too clueless or self-righteous to hate a SOB like George W. Bush deserves four more years of George W. Bush.
