He keeps talking, somewhat aghast, about her and how stunned he is over some of the shit she spews. He especially can't believe how she can go on and on about how wonderful and beneficial and misunderstood and wrongly-portrayed Joe McCarthy really was.

At the same time, he thinks she's probably one of the best things for the Dems and liberals right now, because every time she opens her mouth, so many serpents fly out of it that people who agree with her or share her views become repulsive also. Sort of one of those "Let Reagan be Reagan" things.

Unfortunately that also means we'd have to put up with her for some time to come - something I'm not willing to do. She makes me retch. The poster-girl for Zero Population Growth. Either that or the Orkin man.

In latching onto a powerful word with a specific legal meaning and casually leveling the charge as a blanket accusation against a wide array of people (as she did with slander, which is a defamatory verbal statement), Coulter is attempting to smear virtually anyone who disagrees with her views on foreign policy as treasonous. "Liberals have a preternatural gift for striking a position on the side of treason," she writes on the first page of the book. "Whenever the nation is under attack, from within or without, liberals side with the enemy. This is their essence." (p. 1)
