6. Back that up
you find one, just one, post where I site these people as a source to bash Clark or for that matter anyone else. You owe me an apology. Anytime this piece of crap is used as a source I have said exactly this. Again back up your slur of me.

11. Dean supporter and subscriber to In These Times, Utne Reader &
Harper's. Regular financial supporter of Pacifica stations KPFA and WPFW and of Democracy Now!.

Counterpunch isn't really my style (I'm not much into muckraking, myself), but if others like it, cool.

12. They lied about Gore
they lied about Clark, they lied about Kerry, they lied about Dean, they lied about Clinton, they lied about Gore some more. Yes I think they are lying liars of the left. But of course you create a heads I win tails you lose senario. For the record, liars are bad I don't care which side of the spectrum they inhabit.

5. See, some of us like the fact that Dean's not so far to the left.
Too many people here seem to think that a centrist isn't a Democrat any more or that not being "liberal" is a bad thing.

"Liberal" is a relative term, and it's certainly true that Dean is not a "liberal" Democrat by most people's standards. Many of us are comfortable with that and agree with his positions on the issues. Personally, I think it will also help him in the general election.

Organizations and publications (like Counterpunch) that are more liberal often take issue with Dean's positions. The fact is that they speak for only a segment of the Democratic Party, not the whole. I'm not upset when Counterpunch runs an anti-Dean article. I read the article, but I realize that they are weighing him from their further-left position.

without one single quote or specific policy action in VT.

This one will go right in the Dean basher's bible.

14. Okay
http://www.counterpunch.org/clark.html

You surely have to wonder....It sure seems like the pandora's box that was opened when Clark announced was the dream come true for Rove. He couldn't have hoped for a more Republican-lite candidate to destroy the reinvorgoration of the Democratic identity. Hey if you can't run a Republican in the Republican party, run him in the Democratic party and put some good compassionate windowdressing on it. Mission accomplished.

15. Speaking of regressive
The retired Army general, in the harshest assessment of a rival to date, said Dean's plan to re-regulate U.S. businesses is a major departure from Clinton, who strongly backed deregulation of energy and telecommunications markets.

"The results in the '90s spoke for themselves," Clark said at a brief news conference in which he referred to Clinton by name six times. "Regulation is not going to get our economy moving again. It failed in the past, it will fail again."

Dean, the former Vermont governor, said Tuesday that if elected president, he would move to re-regulate business sectors such as utilities and media companies to restore faith after corporate scandals such as Enron and WorldCom.

Responding to Clark's criticism, Dean spokeswoman Tricia Enright said Wednesday, "Under the Bush administration, the balance of power has shifted against the American people and toward greedy pharmaceutical companies, powerful energy corporations and media monopolies. If Democrats are not concerned with protecting consumers, workers and the average American, then they are truly out of touch."

Dean staked out a traditional Democratic position that was largely abandoned by Clinton and the new Democrats, who tried to build a coalition of labor and business in the 1990s. While appealing to the liberal base that he energized with his war opposition and support for civil unions for gays, Dean opened himself to criticism of class warfare from Republican and Democratic rivals.
