True or False? G.Gordon Liddy Threatened Bill Clinton?
Something about telling people on his radio show how & where to aim if you were to assasinate him. Does this sound familiar? I want to know before I respond. I think I'm getting an exagerated version, need to know the real story. If this were true Liddy this would have made more news, right? DOes this sound familiar to anyone or is this guy whacked who told me?

1. Close, not exactly
After Waco, he said that if FBI or ATF stormtroopers raid your home, to aim for the crotch, because their chests and heads would be protected.

He is certifiably insane.

Though oddly entertaining at times. Read "Will;" it's the fascinating study of how a young fan of Hitler eats a rat and grows up to bring down a President.

2. No ...
G Gordon Bonehead was talking about where to aim if Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms "come to get you". He said this when Clinton was in office, back in 1995.

3. As repugnant as Liddy is, he knew where to draw the line.
He did, in a fury over Waco, give advice on the radio about how to shoot a federal agent to avoid their bodyarmour. But he never made the mistake of suggesting it be done to then-president Bill Clinton. I wish he would have though, just to see him dragged out of little booth and into a nice fitting orange jump suit and shackles (which he was used to).

5. If I remember correcty, Jesse Helms made a veiled threat to Clinton
It was something like "If you come 'round her, ya better watch your back."

6. Liddy Did
have a plan to kidnap peace activist leaders during the RNC, drug them, and keep them in Mexico during the event in order to throw protesters into a state of confusion. Read the Watergate testimony on Liddy. Amazing how short our collective national memory is.

Peace,
Terea

7. Hell, just read "Will"
Liddy admits everyhing. He wanted to kill Jack Anderson. He hired prostitutes in order blackmail DNC workers. He wanted to firebomb offices of political enemies.

He admits it.

It's an unbelievably bizarre book.

My favorite part: He married his wife because she was tall and good in Math. She would produce tall, mathematically-inclined children. But first, he ran an FBI background check on her.

8. Didn't once when Nixon said "Somebody ought to shoot that...
...bastard..." Didn't they have to chase Liddy down because he overheard Tricky Dick and had his bags packed before they go to him?
He's crazier than a shit-house rat.

9. That may be Anderson
He was staking out journalist Anderson to kill him for something he wrote in a column.

Oh, second favorite part from "Will:" When the shit hit the fan on Watergate, he told the White House to name a street corner if they wanted to kill him. He would stand there and let himself be shot. He didn't want the murder to take place in his house where his children could get hurt.

10. Well, I think most of you got the wrong story.
Liddy claimed one day that he used silhouettes of the Clintons for target practice.

Although the other story about head shots for the BATF is also true.

11. He did say that; you're right
I think he said that he always hit the bullseye because he put Hillary's picture there.

Don and Mike, the local DJs who followed him on WJFK, sometimes talk about that day because the Secret Service showed up to the station and interviewed them about "Mr. Liddy's state of mind."
