Oh sure maybe the others can get elected, but the vile Republicans will be back in 4 years ready for revenge. Only LaRouche would have the vision to round up Republican leaders and followers and put them in chain-gangs to work on his transglobal highway project, which includes a lovely bridge from Alaska to Siberia. So let's all not piss away this election by nominating someone who won't clamp down on Republicans with an iron fist. We cannot afford to waste this opportunity.

6. :) And is he quick to anger?
And how much money does his campaign have and what are his poll numbers and most important:
will he raise his hand if he thinks Dean can beat Bush?

7. Leave other candidates out of this, they are all irrelevant.
It is time for us to put aside our differences and help LaRouche arrest all of the Republicans!

13. dangerous talk
Lyndon LaRouche believes the queen of england runs an international drug ring

he is an antisemite, he toned it down this campaign, but he believes the jewish people are subhuman

he believes we need to put our currency back on the gold standard...there is no bigger nonrenewable resource than gold

he is a convicted felon, not registered to vote, and his delegates (if her were to win any) will be stripped at the Democratic Convention

if you want change, vote Kucinich

The strange career of Lyndon LaRouche

Another ominous development is the role of a neo-fascist outfit among the old anti-Semites. It is an outfit led by one Lyndon LaRouche who appears to be the most sophisticated of any previous American fascist movement, by far. I have extracted a short sketch of the strange political evolution of Lyndon LaRouche that was reported in a “Political Research Associates” paper authored by Chip Berlet and Matthew N. Lyons.1

Though often dismissed as a bizarre political cult, the LaRouche organization and its various front groups are a fascist movement whose pronouncements echo elements of Nazi ideology. Beginning in the 1970s, the LaRouchites combined populist anti-elitism with attacks on leftists, environmentalists, feminists, gay men and lesbians, and organized labor. They advocated a dictatorship in which a “humanist” elite would rule on behalf of industrial capitalists. They developed an idiosyncratic, coded variation on the Illuminati Freemason and Jewish banker conspiracy theories. Their views, though exotic, were internally consistent and rooted in right-wing populist traditions.

29. I read it, I need better evidence.
It seems that the author is concerned that LaRouche is some kind of Fascist who could use anti-semitism to gain popularity. This is mostly conjecture since it is speculating on what could happen not what has happened.

Hell, for all I know they could have an axe to grind with him because he is a former Trotskyite. Show me something that he's put out there that has anti-semitism in it and I'll buy.

BTW, I don;t support LaRouche. The thread was started as a parody of many threads here.

41. read up on him and AIDS.... through the eighties he and his followers
were big on pushing the quarantine (to a dessert island) of all individuals infected with HIV.

Indeed - your assessment of his rounding up and arresting opposition - probably isn't far off (and gave me a big belly laugh!)

Have you checked the polling returns once you put Dracula on the ticket?

And I don't think LaRouche has promised to "Jam my fangs into the throats of my Republican enemies to drain the sweet fluid inside them. I'll reach across party lines to create an entire Congress of Vampire Slaves who will vote in total unity."

That is why I am dropping my support for Howard Dean and will now campaign for LaRouche.

The most important thing is that George Bush is defeated!

9. After four years of the Shrub...
even Lyndon LaRouche looks good.

They're both total whackjobs, but at least LaRouche comes by it honestly. Bush is the victim of Hereditary Nazism, a new psychiatric disorder you'll find in the latest revision to the DSM-IV.

Symptoms of Hereditary Nazism include having a grandfather who bankrolled Hitler, love of all things military (except serving in combat zones, and no, serving sweetpotatoes does not count), and throwing Hitler salutes.

30. If I thought La Rouche could actually put the Bush Criminal Empire in jail
....I'd seriously consider him as a candidate. Unfortunately, La Rouche has probably seen more time behind bars than any of them ever will.

As for a bridge from Alaska to Siberia, I believe it's in the works. At least a railroad bridge anyway. Not sure about the "transglobal highway" part, but I think it would be pretty damn cool if they could pull it off. Road trip to Asia? Oh hell yeah!!

Add to your comments the fact that the mainstream media ignores him completely. This is proof of the fact that they and the political establishment are scared of him. And don't get me started on all those rigged polls that don't even include him in their statistics. Everyone knows that if LaRouche were included in those polls he'd be way ahead of Howard Dean. They just want to burying him quickly so the people don't have a chance to decide for themselves. Fascist bastards.

38. LaRouche
...blew any chance he ever had of being taken seriously as a real Democrat long ago. Back when he and his supporters were passing out "Feed Ted Kennedy to the Whales" and "Chappequidick 1, Three Mile Island 0" bumper stickers, when he called Mondale an "agent of Soviet influence" in his 1984 campaign ads, when his campaign poster for 1976 said that a vote for Jimmy Carter was a vote for global thermonuclear war, when he got behind Reagan's Star Wars program, when he did Reagan's dirty work for him in the 1980 election by attacking Jimmy Carter from being a member of the Trilateral Commission, etc, ad nauseum.

In the past 10 or so years, LaRouche seems to be trying to make amends with the Democratic Party. His group ran anti-Ollie North ads in Virginia when Ollie ran for Senate, protested the Clinton impeachment, protested the California recall and supported Grey Davis. But he and his group blew it long ago. It will take a *lot* more effort on behalf of real Democrats on their part for LaRouche to ever be considered anything other than a nut, crank, or cult leader.

Perhaps if we could get LaRouche, Bush and his cronies in the same asylum it might work out.

LaRouche is to the Democratic Party what David Duke is to the repugs, except more so.

I suppose lunatics can be entertaining but lunatics who are fascists like LaRouche lack humor.
