Some concise info on the candidates: foreign policy/environment
Edited on Thu Dec-11-03 11:44 AM by G_j
Peace Action officially released its Voter Guide on Foreign Policy for the upcoming  presidential primaries. The Voter Guide, as well as the full answers by each of the candidates to the questionnaire, can be viewed at, or downloaded, from the Peace Action website at http://www.peace-action.org/2004/  Issues addressed include new nukes, preemptive war, civil liberties, human rights, and international cooperation.

The League of Consevation Voters has good presidential campaign pages. They are somewhat limited in that they mostly do congressional scorecards, but I have noticed that they are keeping updated lists of statements from the campaign trail.

5. I don't think it is necessarily a lack of
interest. I read it and went to the site to check out the info. I wasn't going to post a reply until I read yours. I don't want you to think it's a lack of interest, maybe people are just doing what I did. Thanks for posting the info, I should have posted that when I first read it.

6. Substantive posts generally die in GD.
Its sad but true. Might get better reception in P&C. Now if you attacked Dean or Clark's position on one of the issues this chart summarizes, that would be a sure fire way to keep post alive. And folks here complain about civility with straight faces. Hypocrites.

7. Thanks. This was very enlightening
The only issue I take is with their characterizing Kerry's statement about pre-emptive war as "unclear." I think he was VERY CLEAR that we have always had a right to protect ourselves against an IMMINENT THREAT.
