Do Repubs worry more about Bush than our troops?
Are the Republicans worried that casualties in Iraq hurt Bush's chances for reelection? If so, I think it's time for them to wake up and take a whiff of politics. Do Republicans want the news of troop deaths buried in the back pages? Are they still sure Bush told the full truth in taking us to war?

1. Yes, and they accuse Democrats of "playing politics"..
This is as political as it gets - when they are willing to defend their leader at all costs - even the lives of American troops.

2. Yes, their loyalty is to their Party first, the country is secondary
Their egos are more important than the soldiers...of course we knew that when they were blindly waving their flags and sending these soldiers off to their deaths.

4. repubs
Your post states the whole problem. Yes, they are more worried politically than they are about our troops. If they were worried about our troops they would be making plans to get them out of the quagmire. They would not be trying to bolster the WH by adding more lies. It is inconceivable to me why the repubs. are working more for this administration than their constituents. The House in particular.

8. They have been afflicted with some strange malady that causes
dysfunction in reasoning resulting in their adherence to delusional
rationalization.

Worse yet, its highly contagious and persistent.

Come, we find a cure called fun in the sun for everyone

12. Maybe the Great God Doofus...........
a.k.a. George W. Bush told them that all the US soldiers who die in Iraqi will be given 7000 virgins to bang all through eternity.

or

The republicans don't give a rat's ass about the little people, only the rich who gives them money for their reelection campaigns.
Collateral Damage will never affect the affluent. Rich boys don't volunteer to serve in the military.

What you wanna bet that none of those virgins will be republicans.

The whole flaw in this thread is thinking that republicans "think"

5. Maybe it is time to start asking that question
of your representatives. Where does their loyalty lie?

7. They've been selling their own souls for years
I can't imagine that they are paying anything more than lip-service to the troops.

9. Do you really have to ask this question?
It appears to me that the answer in patently obvious.

To the hardcore Repugnican under a Repugnican administration:

"Support our troops"

is exactly equivalent to

"Sustain the illusion that our troops are dying for a supremely worthy cause, no matter how much cognitive dissonance this generates."

10. The media does it too
When the Uday and Qusay creeps were killed, they were talking more about if it would help Bush or not than how it would affect the American and British troops and the Iraqi people. It is sickening when they do that. Like all that matters is that their Dear Leader should triumph.

11. As if you did not know the answer already!
Sure they are more worried about Bushs' chances in 04, than tehy are the troops. Would not have voted to send them over if they were worried about the troops.
