in a primetime national television spotlight, it would be lights out for the Chimp. DK would put him in a spot nobody else would, because the man simply says and tackles issues that nobody else does. The guy has both principal and balls to back it up.

Not that this is likely to ever happen, though. That's a shame in and of itself.

1. Wishful thinking at its finest
You are under some illusion that the "winner" of a political debate is the one that makes the best, most eloquent points. The winner of a debate is the one that people like on a perosnal level at the end. The issues and discussion are just window-dressing.

Kucinich would make Bush look like the stuttering weasel that he is.

5. Exactly
All the heretofore accepted 'rules' about candidates would be blown away.

No more will people think that how tall the candidate is or how good-looking the candidate as being anything close to important.

The contrast would be eye-opening and mind-blowing, and he'd repeat Reagan's landslide, only for the Democrats.

People on BOTH sides of the aisle are sick of being lied to, having the truth obfuscated, and being sold out to corporations.

The time is NOW!

8. This is true, and...
Dennis Kucinich has the power to make the country wake up to its real values, hopes and aspirations.

He is the kind of person who would come right out and tell about the utter filth that's going on in the administration and throw it up in Bush's face. At the same time, he would remind us all in the most forceful way possible of who we are supposed to be and how we are supposed to behave.

If there is one thing that an evil individual fears, it is the truth. Dennis tells the truth.

10. People like truth
They also do not like degenerate liars.

Dennis Kucinich is the best candidate to hit GW where he lives & will die, his affection for sucking our resources into off-shore accounts of corporations that are strangling our democracy. No other candidate can take him on with a life-long record of fighting privatization and globalization. No other candidate can take him on with an equal level of "moral clarity" (and for that matter, be on the humane side of the moral fence while doing so).

In many ways, Dennis Kucinich is the idealogical & personal & professional opposite of GW. The comparision would be devastating to the well-crafted image and bring up points that the media & parties themselves have been working their asses off to keep out of the national dialogue.

I vote that whomever gets the nod should vote Kucinich their "second" and let him have a crack at the Boy King... it would make for a seachange in public opinion of epic proportion.

The revolution is on & is NOT being televised, just ask Dennis Kucinich!

2. It would be amazing.
Bush would be skewered and the media aghast, but they would be unable to put the genie back in the bottle.

3. Absolutely. Bush wouldn't have a chance
The good thing about Dennis is he has the facts and the issues on his side and he knows how to debate.

11. Why put down Kucinich? No one here is

putting down your candidate. We're just talking about Kucinich being Bush's opposit, an honest, articulate man who wants to bring peace and harmony to this country.

7. He would be difficult to spin.
After all, his changes in policy were not made by polls but by long, thoughtful consideration. He is who he says he is, he stands for what he says he stands for. He is solid there. It would come down to superficialities. After all, what good Texan really trusts someone who does not eat red meat? Apologies to my Texas friends, it was a joke.

12. would be a great site
I'd love to see his stupid grin after getting his ass handed to him. Although I think almost any of the candidates besides maybe Leiberman could hand it to GWB easily.

13. When forced out of politics for 15 years Dennis was a teacher.
The son of a truck driver. My dad was a lifelong Teamster himself. Odd, isn't it?
