New military buzz-phrase
Edited on Sun Jul-27-03 11:30 AM by trof
"Low Intensity Conflict"
A general just interviewed on CNN said it.
"We're fighting a Low Intensity Conflict."

Of course if you're the guy who happens to be getting shot, grenaded, or otherwise blown away I guess it would be fairly High Intensity Conflict for you...personally...at that point in time...as they say.

"Mrs. Jones, the Department of Defense regrets to inform you that you son Charles was killed in action in Operation Iraqi Liberation, however you will be comforted to know that his death ocurred in a Low Intensity Conflict situation."

aw...crap

3. Actually, Low Intensity Conflict is an old US military euphamism.
Another variant of this phrase is "Guerilla War".
