Chambliss is a rotten rat bastard ...
I just caught this son of a bitch on Wolfie's Late Edition and he is one of the smarmiest POS, gop scatavors I have ever seen. :grr:

Just thinking what that tanning-bed warrior had to say about Max Cleland pisses me off all over again. The very thought that this chicken hawk bitch slandering Max ...

:grr:

Hey, Saxby ...

1. GA is 100% PC Voting...with no paper trails
And you wonder how he "upset" Sen. Cleland?

2. Pepperbelly, I love your post . . .
You express yourself beautifully. I especially like the word 'scatavor.' Is it in the dictionary?

4. Max will have the last laugh, Pepperbelly....
he will be using his "free" time now to travel to every vfw hall and meeting across the country to tell veterans and their families exactly what Bush has done at their expense to implement an agenda that FAILS veterans and military families.

Remember...most people are not aware of what Bush/Rove/Reed pulled on Max Cleland in 2002. Max has over a year to inform them PERSONALLY.

5. Please let him run for Senate again!
Has he said whether he is interested in Miller's seat? Does anyone know?

Cleland is far more moderate than I am, but I think he deserves our support for what he was put through in 2002. There will be a special place in hell for Chambliss and Shrub for what they did to that man. (as if there wouldn't be a special place in hell for Shrub for MANY things!)

18. Cleland is...
moderate but not a right winger such as Zell Miller. I would love to see him back in the senate but i'm not sure whether Georgia is going to take him back after the states hard right turn last fall.

6. As a Georgian, I weep
when I see Chambliss. Right after he was elected, he appeared on CSPAN's Washington Journal. The man couldn't answer the most basic questions from callers. It was embarrassing. My brother-in-law, an admiral, called after the election and asked me why Georgia had elected the mayor from "Green Acres". He's a joke. And our governor is pathetic. What is the Republican fascination with "dumb"? Is there a test? You must be THIS stupid to run as a Republican? Seriously, these guys are as dim as Bush. Why is that such a draw for conservatives? Did they used to get beaten up by the smart guys in high school? What is the dynamic?

9. not really...
such an ideology comes from a lack of faith and a lack of reason. It is based on the belief that we are all going to hell, take what you can while you can, survival of the fittest, and worst of all...vengeance.

10. I didn't mean religious faith, burr, I meant that the Republicans that
are extreme, like this Chambliss character and Bush, come off as unintelligent because they have faith in their ideology, so they don't need to know a lot of facts or policy. And their followers approve of them being that way. They don't care if they are "Mayberry Machiavellians" as long as they are believers in their ideology.

And some of them think they are going to heaven, although their version of Christianity doesn't sound like anything Jesus talked about.

13. I agree...
but I honestly think they do not even have faith in their own ideology, their own government to defend them, or just life in general. They use their dogma and political spin to convince others they are not afraid or have not lost faith in their nation and world. And they use fear, hoping to convince others and themselves that their darkest dreams are reality.

17. Maybe so
Fear does seem to be at the heart of their message, rather than telling people to have courage. I would hope people will get sick of this fear-mongering soon and tell them to go stuff it.

It sounds like a parody of southern "gentry" (like Tennessee Williams' "Shep Huntleigh") Yes, Chambliss is a grade-A piece of shit.

15. I remember meeting his 96' opponent, Jim Wiggins.
Edited on Sun Jul-27-03 12:53 PM by burr
Wiggins gave Chambliss a huge scare, coming within 4-5% of beating him. The best thing about Wiggins was that, unlike many south Georgia Democrats, he ran on a platform of universal healthcare, prison reform, and supporting Clinton's budgets. No Democrat in the following elections held in that district came that close to beating him. None were willing to touch the issues that Wiggins took on.

These two idiots give true idiots everywhere a bad name.

21. Does this make them the bad or badder asses?
Too bad one idiot can't spot another. Perhaps they would form a colony and leave us alone, or maybe they don't know that they already have a party full of them. If idiots could recognize idiots they would be cruel enough to drive out the others, but too stupid to know how.
