Bush so arrogant, even my kid just freaked...
A story was just on ABC about the contracts in Iraq not going to anyone but the US, basically. They showed video of Bush being asked about the possible violations of international law and, what he was going to do about it.

"International law?" he scoffed, as if talking about the life of female death row inmate. "Gee, I guess I better call a lawyer!"

AAAARRRGGGGHHHHHHH!

1. Someone just IMPEACH the moron already
and let's get him out before he does any more damage. We'll take the $170M warchest and use it for reparations.

2. This nasty little man
has a short temper, and I realllly hope some brave yet damned liberal media member will hit his buttons a few more times over the next ten months.

He's bound to say something untoward.

3. Was that an incriminating statement?
I am unaware of what international law people are referring to on this matter, but I wonder if that little outburst could beused against him in an international tribunal.

7. no
It was just a stupid thing to say. (Re-)Expressing total disregard for the rules established with very good reason by his precedessors. Even the European Neo-cons are shaking their heads in disbelief- usually they kiss the ground he walks on.

But honestly: I don't know why they had to make a show of it. With the dollar as low as it is, European contractors have hardly a chance to win a fair bidding anyway.
That the "juicy" contracts would be going to the "willing" was clear from the start - repeating it just a few days after Schröder and Chirac signalled a possible debt-relief for Iraq was just useless.

And Perle saying "Germany allied itself with Saddam ..." in German national TV was pretty strange as well. Considering that Germany supplied the third most troops (they were deployed around Iraq) .

16. The gall of this man
France and Germany are far and away morally and ethically superior to our country by any reasonable measure. And now Bush wants to "punish" them for their very morality in refusing to join him in his self agrandizing blood bath. unreal!

17. In a clip they showed on the Daily Show on the same topic-
The Lil'Dictator was talking about which countries would get reconstruction contracts and said that the ones that put their lives on the line are the ones who should be rewarded....
So- just how many Halliburton and Bechtel board members "put their lives on the line", and why didn't we hear about it?

20. Exactly!! he's lumping too many criminals into "we" in...
..."we put our lives on the line."

Bush & Co would never have gone into Iraq if they thought their own lives might be endangered.

19. But he gets away with his arrogance
But he gets away with his arrogance.
We see it, but does the general public see it?
Why not? His "sense" of humor????

Arrogance can be a real turnoff, but Bush somehow transmutes his into charm?!

I think part of the reason is because he is perceived as not intelligent, so people can't accept that he could be arrogant.
