Did y'all see Wolfowitz's face twitching on MTP when he lied?
I always try to observe members of the BFEE for outward signs of lying (usually it's nose-touching) and toward the end of his interview, beginning with the question about Liberia, Wolfie's face started twitching right below one eye.

House of cards falling...watch out below!

10. Yes, he was prepared with the usual talking points, but
he did seem far less confident and relaxed to me than he usually does.

13. Is Wolfowitz BFEE, or would he be more properly described as PNAC?
I think that PNAC has snookered the dim son of the BFEE. For a while we saw where the two had melded, but there is a subtle difference in their objectives.

16. Oh, that is a good question.
I would have to say that PNAC did snooker the BFEE but when push comes to shove the BFEE is more powerful and will squash PNAC.

4. He was very inept as the inerview started.
Wooden, reading, mechanical. I think he scared himself, so he warmed up a little, but you could see that he is very tired. Someone has to be offered to the public as a token of their awareness of their short comings. Not Wolfowitz; probably Condi. All of them are going to be quite tense until the sacrifice is made.

but I thought he did a poor job....looked to me like someone who knows all his bullshit is catching up with him. I thought Russert was pretty good today.

12. Wolfowitz and Rice are maybe the worst liars in the Regime
...and in the Bush Regime, being able to lie well is one of the few job qualifications.

Any opinions on who the "best" liars are in the upper levels of the Regime? Powell sort of had me going until his performance at the UN to start the invasion. It just seems like all lies, all the time. Is there even one honorable person in this administration???

14. IMO, the best liar is Cheney
He's the one that seems the most in control and usually escapes every situation unscathed.

17. Yes, Condi is a particularly bad liar.
I think Armitage is pretty good even though his looks and voice scream "THUG."

Honorable person in the BFEE.....hmmmm....they seem to commit suicide.

15. I saw it
I also saw it when Gwen Ifill interviewed him on PBS last week.

He was quite confident at first, but then Ifill started asking him some good questions, including reading him his quote about the "bureaucratic decision."

She read the quote, then looked at him and said "pretty cynical, eh?"

His little rat face started having fits at that point. :-)
