Bush advisers cashed in on Saudi gravy train
by Maggie Mulvihill, Jack Meyers and Jonathan Wells Tuesday, December 11, 2001

Second of two parts.

"Many of the same American corporate executives who have reaped millions of dollars from arms and oil deals with the Saudi monarchy have served or currently serve at the highest levels of U.S. government, public records show.

Those lucrative financial relationships call into question the ability of America's political elite to make tough foreign policy decisions about the kingdom that produced Osama bin Laden and is perhaps the biggest incubator for anti-Western Islamic terrorists.

Nowhere is the revolving U.S.-Saudi money wheel more evident than within President Bush's own coterie of foreign policy advisers, starting with the president's father, George H.W. Bush.

At the same time that the elder Bush counsels his son on the ongoing war on terrorism, the former president remains a senior adviser to the Washington D.C.-based Carlyle Group. That influential investment bank has deep connections to the Saudi royal family as well as financial interests in U.S. defense firms hired by the kingdom to equip and train the Saudi military.

Last year, former President Bush visited Saudi Arabia's King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud, but a Carlyle spokesman said the two did not discuss Carlyle business as previously reported. The elder Bush is reportedly paid between $80,000 and $100,000 for each Carlyle speech he makes. The company declined comment on the former president's pay.

The Carlyle Group has also served as a paid adviser to the Saudi monarchy on the so-called ``Economic Offset Program,'' an arrangement that effectively requires U.S. arms manufacturers selling weapons to Saudi Arabia to give back a portion of their revenues in the form of contracts to Saudi businesses, most of whom are connected to the royal family. A company spokesman said yesterday that arrangement was ended ``a few months ago,'' but said he did not know whether it was terminated before or after the Sept. 11 attacks."

1. corruption runs deep in Bush family & White House & PNAC cabal
MONEY.

Thats what drives these traitors. Money.

Bush * and his PNAC cabal tricked the US Congress by
lies, half-truths, fake & fraud data, and scare tactics
to propel US into their 'war', OCCUPATION.

Bush Lied and Soldiers Die Nearly every day.

2. I'm hope further investigations
will force the mainstream cable and networks to use the words 'Carlyle, Bush, and Saudia Arabia' in the same sentence. Think the American people will yell - BINGO!

Americans can understand this issue. The Bushes make money from war. If only some enterprising reporter could tell us how much $$ goes into the trust fund for each GI's life or limb.

On edit: dammit. I didn't look at the date. I thought this taboo topic was finally being discussed in light of Iraq.

7. The relevance is to the 28 missing pages
You've got 16 words lying about Iraq, and 28 pages CENSORED about Saudi Arabia.

9. scratch the surface of ANY scandal since WWII

and you will find a Bush.

remember who financed Nixon: Prescott Bush (Hitler's buddy)

anyone who brushes off the BFEE or BushCo as tin foil territory has not done any research.

Bushes are the most toxic parasites ever to emerge in this country.

10. As an ex-auditor for Saudi Aramco (the Kingdom's oil co.), I'm curious
about the "oil deals" worth millions of dollars you are refering to. Aramco sold billions of dollars of oil and oil products to many mainstream refineries. What "oil deals" do you take excepton to?

I hate Bush more than I've hated anyone in my life. But, I swear I have no idea about any shady deals that would put Bush in a bad light. I would fucking tell you in a heartbeat if I saw anything out of line.

12. Doesn't Hallibuton sell them all the equipment?
And Jr's first business ventures were established and bailed out with Saudi money through Bath (?). Isn't that right?

11. thank you very much...
...for the post and the links. i am new to the site but not new to the cause. i KNEW last autumn ago the the cabal (PNAC) was gearing up to invade iraq based upon false pretenses and in my limited time here i have been pushing for the truth of that to get out to ring them down. THIS however, coupled with the blank 28 pages which i am sure will come out sooner rather than later, completes a picture the uneducated masses will understand in a heartbeat.

i love this site!!
