Chris Matthews is a jerk
To listen to him on tonight's Hardball you would think that Al Gore had murdered Joe Lieberman because of Gore's endorsement of Dean. Matthews sounded indignant, as if Gore had somehow committed treason by maing his choice known.

1. Darryl Hammond has him nailed.
He is indeed a blowhard. Hope Darryl Hammond gets out of SNL soon - it's horrible this year.

3. yeah, what jerks

During the 2000 Florida recount, Lieberman advocated counting votes postmarked AFTER the election from overseas soldiers not registered in Florida.

But in the topsy-turvy world of pundits, it's Gore who betrayed Lieberman.

4. Given The Quality Of Media In The US
I'm going to invest 2K in a decent SW reciever and a DSL line; flush Rush and the "Clear Channel" he operates on.

CBC and the BBC is far better than Faux Noise and if I can save a few dollars here-and-there by not paying the CATV rates for crap, so be it!

9. Don-G, that's what I've done...I don't listen to ANY US radio unless
Edited on Sat Dec-13-03 12:58 AM by Gloria
it's on the internet and it's from the left.

I wake up to a choice of 2 BBC broadcasts (Africa or Asia); Canada, Australia,
China, and Sweden. Marvelous!!!

It's the only way I keep my sanity!!

PS-- I have a Grundig 400 PE which cost me $150; it also has SSB for ham and aeronautical/marine frequencies. I put up a wires around 50 ft long, and 25 ft high (sloping down to 15 ft.) running EW and NS. Works great!

5. Tweety's not worth bothering with.
As far as he's concerned, if anybody else gets a word in edgewise, he loses, no matter who it is. So he's nasty to anybody who manages to make a point. Totally not worth watching.

7. Hillary?
huh?

one can make a case for Clinton lying, giving up license (no crime, though, by any stretch),

but what crime was Hillary EVER accused of by any sane person?

8. I'm thinking Tweety has a problem with multi personality syndrome
or whatever thats called.. One night he seems like hes pretty fair and the next hes totally different. I think the thing I dislike about Tweet is when he looks into the monitor and admires himself. Ive noticed that if he thinks hes better looking than his guest he will beat up on them, if he thinks his guest is better looking, he gives them a whole lot less grief.

Watch him and see if he doesnt do this .

12. Just figuring that out?
Al Gore couldn't win no matter what, no matter which one or when he endorsed a candidate. Even if he endorsed Lieberman, they'd pick that apart, pointing all all the current differences, so Gore would then be a liar. The mainstream mass media hates him. They're paid well to hate him and Tweety is the biggest whore of all. If you think that was bad, you should have seen how he attacked Kucinich a few months ago.

15. Maybe Gore should have endorsed pResident*-Select
If he had endorsed the War Chimp can you imagine how Matthews would have been slobbering over Gore? And wasn't Matthews a Democrat who worked for Tip O'Neill? How can Tweety not see that Bush is an unqualified disaster?

And now Dennis Miller is coming to CNBC? Talk about someone who sold out their views.

14. How Can I Resist a Headline Like "Tweety Is a Jerk"?
This "betrayal of LIEB" line is to be expected from Dan COULTER, which she IS using herself, but actually the first one to use it was BEGALA on the Don ANUS show the morning after the endorsement. All of these crocodile tears from wingnuts crying "Poor Joe". For me to POOP on!
