I never did it before.

freerepublic.com

Short view, lack of the world knowledge, hate of the UE (especially France and Germany), mistake about History, egocentric view, absolute religious needing for the way of life, ..... I stop the list.

I wish they aren't the american people majority otherwise, day after day, the Atlantic will be more and more large.

3. They aren't the average American
They are right-wing extremists.

The average American doesn't know the slightest about what is currently happening in the world.

Granted, that isn't a compliment in the least, but at least I am confident in saying that at least if we aren't that informed, on average we are pretty decent people.

9. There is anti-Moslem sentiment in France, but France is 12% Moslem

and there is a minority of folks who ascribe to the far-right, anti-immigrant policies of Jean-Marie LePen.

There is a larger number of folks in the U.S. that are racist/homophobic/anti-democracy than in Europe. Free Republic is a vocal minority, but how many people who don't have access to the internet feel the same way?

is how these people can wear the blinders when it comes to Bush.

Nothing he does can be questioned without bitter attacks, mostly involving hurling insults as they rarely have a leg to stand on where truth is concerned.

Fundamentalists one and all.

15. As long as Junior's not getting sucked off in the Oval Office
..they couldn't care less what he does. And since they have over looked his coke snorting, drunk driving, paying for an abortion in 1972, election fixing, and probable culpability in 9-11, they would probably let that pass as well.

Unless it was from a male intern ;) That would be the one thing Freepers couldn't handle.... a "goddamn sodomite" in the White House.

7. Don't be fooled by all their noise
I've also heard, again and again, that all white Southern males chew tobacco, watch football, and think Bush is the cat's pajamas. My boss chews and is an ex-jock and HATES Bush. Ditto with the other fellow who works for this small company. I've even had businessmen come up and ask me about the Democrat candidate whose signs adorn the side windows of my car-and they were quite favorable towards the Dems. When I demonstrated against the war last year, the number of thumbs up and honks for us far far far outnumbered the few cranks who said negative things.

And there are a lot of folks here who personally know Europeans. My brother and his family is bi-lingual (Deutsch und English, danke; ich spreche nur schlechtich deutcsh), and my niece holds dual citizenship.

You stumbled on some of ours. I hope you are enjoying your stay here otherwise.

13. Freeper vs. Republican
You can have a civil discussion with a rebulican and they don't all think Bush and Regan are at the same level as Jesus.

12. Perhaps we are going about this the wrong way
When I was at school and I was playing in a rugby match, I used to come back from lunch and then it used to be Stay from David Bowie's Station to Station a couple of times to get me hyped up for the match.

But thinking about it 5 minutes over at freerepublic and I want to throw the monitor through the window.

So maybe this is the use of freerepublic, getting yourself in the mood for a good hard physical game of whatever ?

There is probably nothing to be gained by being sent off in the first minute.

16. That's why we have to recapture th flag
This is the biggest reason Wes Clark decided to run for President. He has defended this country from despots most of his life and said thinking of the coming birth of his grandchild was the deciding factor of his decision to run. We are the majority but we have lacked leaders who would take responsibility for their decisions and actions. We need an honorable leader who understands the real fight is with B*** and not his fellow Dems. If you pay attention to his statements, he blames the Repug leadership for what has gone wrong.

17. Welcome to DU dogman!
Clark would indeed make a great President. We need to find a position for this man if he doesn't win in the primaries. We cannot afford to pass on this man's strengths and character. If not Prez, VP or SecDef, for sure.

a growing ideology due to cockroaches like Rush and Hannity. Hatred of anything American is there MO. They want a new fascist America that doesnt question authority when the Repubs are in authority. Of course when a Dem gets in charge they quickly become the most hateful vermin God ever created. Its not Free Republic , its Free Fascism.
