I Would Like To See Clark As the VEEP

I know I know, he's not running for that right now, but that is how I would like to see it turn out. And I would like the new Pres to just hand over the Iraq mess to him.

The other thing is that the VEEP debates would be killer diller! Clark vs Cheney is an almost cartoonish picture of Good Guy and Bad Guy. Cripes! Cheney is the creepiest vibester alive. Like a batman villain or something!

All the same I would support Clark for Prez if he could pull it out, I just would like to see somebody with a little more experience governing, and a more concrete domestic policy. But I think he should be instrumental in patching up the Iraq mess no matter who wins.

Then what will the fear monger "lack of foreign policy" assholes do?

Beside Clark is a potential President when and if he gains some domestic policy to match his foreign policy experience.
It would be in his best interest to join the potential Dean ticket.

But I wasn't aware he had said conclusively he wouldn't be VP. I thought he said, "I'm running for president" or something of that nature.

I dont think he said he'd never consider it, I think he like the others says he's running for the top job.

I saw that interview and noticed how carefully he answered the question.

that Dean getting the nomination was not "in the cards". If you look at his quote after that line, it sounds like he is trying to make the case that the people will pick him over Dean.

If he doesn't get the nomination for Prez , he'll probably run for Gov of Arkansas. He's a #1 kinda guy. So is Dean, BTW.

I'm afraid there is too much bad blood among all the candidates at this point for any of them to team up, and that is too bad. I'm sick of the mudslinging, I wish they'd heed Gore's advice and remember who the real enemy is.

First of all, he didn't bite when Dean and Trippi Co. wanted him to join in.

Secondly, why would a guy like that want to be the guy that flies to foreign funerals, etc.

If anything, he'd want to be Sec. of Defense or Chief of Staff.

VP would be a demotion to Clark, imo.

He's never held public office, and praised the Bushitas not so long ago. Sorry, but he would be lucky to have such an opportunity.

Seriously, I think we need to start looking at what the job descriptions really are for president and vice-president, and how that division of labor is supposed to work.

I know it's fun to dream up tickets that would have strong appeal, but is a president really going say (paraphrasing of course):

Hi, I'm the President of the United States, but my Clark as my Vice-President is going to be taking care of all-things-Iraq. Because Clark is far more qualified than I, the CIC of the U.S. and the leader of the free world, am when it comes to foreign relations and military affairs. Thank goodness he accepted the VP slot so I could ride on his coattails to the Oval Office."

OK, admittedly that last bit shows me editorializing. But if you want to see Clark in the White House, elect him president.

VP, due to their ability to sit in Senate Chambers and vote in tiebreakers, really serves as a liason to the Senate. That is why I think of our great Senators or Congress ment, particularly Kerry, would be a great VP. Clark is a leader, a Commander. The role he can best fit is Pres. Here is hoping for a Clark\Kerry ticket.

I couldn't believe what a creepy freak Cheney was (and still is). He reminded me of the evil Nazi dentist in "Marathon Man." I kept expecting him to ask "Is it safe" and drill into Lieberman's incisors.
