It's time for a little unity amidst the 'dissent' here at DU...
Edited on Sat Dec-13-03 07:45 PM by mzmolly
What's say those of us who battle it out here day by day, reaffirm the goal by changing our avatar to ABB for one week?

The last time I did this, we had many takers, I'd like to clarify what it all comes down 2 in the end. YOU IN?

Though I am a bit pissed at Gephardt right now ;) I understand the greater goal is most important.

2. No, I like the Hillary avatar
And the Deanies constant propoganda of either, "Dean is inevitable, all other candidates should drop out" or "If you don't support Dean, your patriotism to the Democratic party is in question" are wearing thin.

5. Well....
... I am personally beginning to tire of the "John Kerry is the perfect candidate, but you're all just to stupid to know that" line, myself...

15. But there are many Deanies who
have read your constant slams on Dean and ignored you. Said nothing. Not only did many of us not reply but we also failed to go post a slam against other candidates in retaliation.

So, if you please, in light of the courtesy shown you by so many of us, could you qualify your blanket condemnations of "obnoxious Deanies"? I'd appreciate it.

Julie

3. I'm in!!
The race has started for RoveCo. We need to get on the ball and start focusing on ABB. In-party sniping helps no one. Let's stop wasting time on a samll battle, when we have a MAJOR WAR ahead of us!!!!! This is too important my friends.

10. I deeply appreciate the sentiment!
Unity is essential to life.

I applaud your goal, and hope you get many takers.

I'm unable to for one very simple reason..... Dennis Kucinich is the only candidate who is determined to protect people like me from more cuts to the safety net. We are simply too vulnerable, and any further cuts will cause many deaths, and mine might be among them.

So, you see, this is much more important to me. Literally life and death.

I was so very trusting when I first got here, and thought I'd be heard. I went the route of asking supporters of other candidates to push this issue with their candidate, so that I, and others, could feel more confident in ABB. What I got for my trouble was either to be yelled at or ignored. And, no, this is *NOT* an invitation for more flaming of me.

Given that, it is unfortunate that I must decline, and be strong in standing up for what it is I need in order to survive.

respectfully,

Kanary

But we're in a primary race. When the GE comes around, it will all be different. Meanwhile, I prefer to keep my candidate out front where everybody can see him and know where I stand. :)

I am no longer ABB. I am now NBD (Nobody But Dean) and refuse to vote for any candidate who does not denounce the anti-Dean ad that has the face of Osama bin Laden in it.

Until then, no other Democrat will receive my vote in the General Election.
