Lieberman's henchmen attacking Clark now.
Geez, what is with this guy. Doesn't attack Bush, only fellow Dems.

Clark Criticized for Lobbying by Lieberman
By EDWARD WYATT

Published: December 14, 2003

The director of Senator Joseph I. Lieberman's presidential campaign accused Gen. Wesley K. Clark yesterday of misleading voters by not giving full details about General Clark's work as a lobbyist in Washington after he retired from the military in 2000.

Reacting to the release of General Clark's federal financial disclosure form late Friday, Craig T. Smith, the campaign director, and Brian Hardwick, his deputy, said in a conference call that the general was "profiting from the revolving door" between the Pentagon and private business and likened his situation to that of Vice President Dick Cheney and his former employer, Halliburton.

The unusual attack, coming less than a week after former Vice President Al Gore endorsed Howard Dean's candidacy, demonstrates how intense the race has become for the eight other Democratic candidates.

Chris Lehane, a strategist for the Clark campaign, said, "We heard about this Lieberman attack more in sadness than in anger and believe Senator Lieberman should be spending more time worrying about Al Gore's assessment of his candidacy and less time worrying about records that Wes Clark made public months ago."

blah blah blah

Lieberman sounds like a republican.
No wonder the Greens got fed up with the Democrats. (That didn't come out right, but I am so pissed about these guys attacking each other, doing Rove's work)

Hahaha They sure fire off the great answers. Seems to me a certain two campaigns and their candidates would be a great fit...;-)

8. On Friday night, the Clark campaign released
General Clark's official financial disclosure form and five years worth of tax returns to The Associated Press and thereafter began faxing the disclosure forms to other reporters.

That's sort of the opposite of sealed records, hey Governor Dean?

11. It's the 'loser syndrome'
Most of the campaigns that are sinking like stones are emplying it to attack front runners now, with a few exception----DK, CMB and AS.

Can't you just smell the desperation?

17. Poor LIttle Joe
Lieberman. He doesn't want to go out with a whimper, he wants to go out in style.

By the way, could someone help me translate his name from German?

Lieber = love (verb), like she 'loves'; Ich liebe dich.

Man = man

If I translate his name correctly, it means 'LoverMan'. Oh, brother.

Wouldn't be all that shocked if it actually happened. Lieberman recently stopped being a Dem in my book and he's having a lot of fun bashing good, decent candidates. I can't wait till Holy Joe drops out and the media stops covering him. The only way to win against him is just to ignore the crap he spews from time to time.

What the hell is going through Joe Lieberman's brain? Is he just a bitter old wretch? Does he seriously think that, despite his public conceits, he is the one to carry the Clinton mantle into the future?

There is, finally, some life and enthusiasm in the Democratic party again. We've got two excellent outsiders leading the pack who both (though in varying degrees) excite the base and have the potential to expand it.

Now we've got Lieberman--who acts like some novelist's caricature of an asshole teacher he didn't like--doing what he can to piss on the show. His main appeal in New Hampshire is not to disaffected Democrats seeking enthusiasm. Nor is it to calculating Democrats who think Joe could win over wavering Republicans.

Joe is appealing directly to Republicans, via his unclear association with McCain, in order to gain ground in New Hampshire. Unable to name-drop "Gore" any more, he pretends that he's worthwhile because he plays political second fiddle to this weirdo in the opposing party.

Christ! Get back to the Senate, Joe. You've peaked.

(Oh, and it's nice to see the usual Clark haters here applauding quisling Joe. Whatever helps kindle the Clark effigies makes some of us happy.)

34. I think Lieberman is still a viable candidate
Of course I am not happy with this development, but if Lieberman wants to peel off voters from someone it make sense for him to go after Clark.

Lieberman has high name recognition. Uninformed Democrats will vote for him. He is viable.
