Why Aren't We Talking More About the Environment?
Bush and his corporate profiteering donor cronies have co-opted the environment and are laying it to waste.

My question is, since the environment has more of an impact on our day to day lives, why then isn't Bush's immoral, illegal and corrupt environmental policies being talked about more? Are the topics not sexy enough?

1. It's like public education - no one cares.
Once again, consider Seattle. It's a bastion of environmentalists, right?

Baloney. State and local environmental laws and policies are being trashed left and right - along with the environment itself - and no one gives a damn. The public school system is an open sewer - make that a covered sewer; things look really cool from the outside, but there's a terrible stench on the inside.

There are virtually no geniune environmental or education activists in Seattle - including the Green Party of Seattle, which is just another sham.

I've long been active in education reform and have wanted to get more involved in environmental issues, but I've just been too overwhelmed.

3. Well when the people stop getting killed daily
the environment is next in line.

Actually I'm with you, it's my #1 issue most of the time.

But right now I just want this lying thieving murdering asshole out of office. His crimes are against humanity and the planet, both.
