wtf is this "Halliburton will have to repay the money it stole" bs?!
I've been away for a little while, so if this thread should really be a post in another thread, accept my apologies and please make it so.

bush, and some repuke congressperson are now displaying some shock and awe at the possibility that a company with continuing ties to cheney, and one which was "awarded" huge non-compete contracts for work in rebuilding Iraq (after cheney helped destroy it) would overcharge the US by tens of millions. The repukes are so shocked and disgusted that the puppet moron has declared Halliburton must repay all it overcharged. Repay it, isn't that a little harsh?

That's like the chief of police saying to a bank robber, after he/she had been caught stealing million$, "oh, just give it back and we'll forget the whole thing."

And this is supposed to show the little imposter as being "tough" -?

That's my money they've stolen, I want them prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

And now, back to the killer flu...

1. I think he said he would do this.
"Oh, just give it back and we'll forget the whole thing", will be seen by the masses as proof that Halliburton was not given these jobs because of cronyism. Bush* always said you do the tough, unpopular stuff first, then come re (s)election time you do the more popular stuff then you really crack down after you are comfortably in the next term. They will pay it back and then just get another contract that most people will not hear about. I know it makes no sense but that is par for the course for him.

2. I agree,
and it makes me sick that most people don't see that and understand what's really happening.
