Maybe the Dean/Ossama ad will be good for Dean
Edited on Sun Dec-14-03 12:07 AM by BertrandL
If Dean wins the nomination (which seems likely) this sort of ad will be run by the Bush campaign. Since it's being run now, that may blunt the effect. It will seem like a recycled attack that's already been successfully defended. It would be like Democrats running attack ads about Bush's oil ties. Old news.

8. That ad plays too explicitly on people's fears
Edited on Sun Dec-14-03 01:24 AM by creativelcro
to be effective. I'd say it was done by dilectants. To be done effectively it has to make you think about those issues without saying anything about them directly. Essentially, planting the seeds that your reasoning machine uses to automatically infer what you want people to infer. I think this ad is gonna flop big.

2. The Olde Democrats can't even put together a decent attack Ad!
This one's ripped off from Ralph Reed's Saxby Chambliss ad in the 2002 Georgia campaign.

They seem pathetic in their death throws.

:grr:

4. This could backfire too.
If word about who's behind it gets into the press, it could end up making Gephardt and Kerry look worse than Dean.

Exhibit A: Le Bat.

I don't even understand why people are complaining about it anymore. I think some people are addicted to outrage.

Edit: Am I being insensitive? Maybe.

11. Doubtful
This ad benefits Clark most of all.

Dean will have to expend funds and energy to fight the ad, which in the end I expect him to beat off handily.

It burns me up, though.
